Just a general enquiry really.
In the beginning I was a member of another forum but I found the language there, when discussing e-cigs and consumables too complicated and I really could not understand what people were talking about. However, through that forum I found out about AAEC, joined here and have found a great forum platform to build my knowledge of Vaping. Members here are prepared to spend time to make sure I understand how things work and go to great lengths to point me in the right direction.
Even when I say things that perhaps cross the unwritten boundaries, the MODs are very diplomatic in their PMed bollockings! So all in all I am very glad I found this forum and so AAEC is the only forum that I contribute to.
Lately I have found that a number of members are joining here from other forums and promoting the fact that they are long standing members of these forums.
So I am wondering just how many members of AAEC are also members of other forums?
And, what do you get from these other forums that you do not get on here?
I want to know because perhaps I am missing out on something that is going on there that I don't know about!

I joined here first for the exact reasons you have stated above lobeydosser. I found the other forums confusing and a bit too much going on, where as this one was more to the point I liked the way this forum was set out and the overall atmosphere felt very friendly and welcoming. On signing up my instincts were proven correct.
Now I am a member of the ECR forums, the VTTV forums and UKvapers.
ECR has some good info and I like watching Scotts reviews, but I don't use it much. VTTV forums have just had a revamp I believe and I use that one intermittently, usually just having a read or post in conjunction with the shows. UKVapers is great for news regarding e-cigs, but I mainly use the chat function whilst listening to RY4Radio.
They all have their own merits really, but AAEC is my favourite and that is mainly due to how welcoming and friendly the users are in general.

I'm a member of the LF forum and UKV. LF was my first and it's a nice bunch of folks there, and it also has nostalgia value for me even just 6 weeks in I'm not so fond of UKV, I don't like it visually or from a technical point of view. Can't say I've interacted that much over there, though. I do find that different forums have different 'favourite recommendations/suppliers', so asking the same question in different places will get you a wider overview of the situation. AAEC is by far the friendliest and prettiest forum so far though

I originally joined ECF and came here. I don't read ECF unless I find a post with the answer to my question via google. I'm a member of UKvapers and use it for certain information, but I can't contribute to that forum as I feel out of place there. I feel like a lot of people look down on you on there if you don't have a RBA and use SS mesh. Look, as much as I'd like to get into that sort of stuff, some people can't do things like that. I can't.
Besides I'm happy with my carto tanks. Clearos I'm not happy with, but I still use them for out and about.

On the vaping front this was the first forum I came across so mainly use this one, I am also a member of UKV and ECF. I do prefer this one though as everyone is so friendly (well most of the time anyway)

Am a member of ECF and UKV. I joined ECF purely to see some photo's which you need to be a member to see. I joined UKV, then never used it since the google results on Griz's juice continually threw up (not literally) AAEC. Then I spotted the LSE meet thread and that was it. I recently, shamelessly, went back to UKV to bag a mod in the classies ... not been back since ... must contribute really since I'm feeling slightly piratical ...

I'm a member of POTV and signed up for UKV today although I'm never on them. AAEC is where the heart is so too speak, I'm always lurking on here even if I ain't posting anything, much to the Mrs's annoyance! Ha

I found and signed up for TW first, posted some stuff, but it's way too single-vendor-and-it's-products-centric to be particularly useful. The peeps on here are friendly, knowledgeable, and as stated above, don't look down on you if you don't use this or that BTW, what is a Titan and a Tornado ??

a Titan and a Tornado ?? One is a mythical being from Greek mythology, the other is a weather phenomena ... nothing to do with vaping ...

Hi. I am a member of AAEC, UKV,Planet of the Vapes,Vaperwall. AAEC is my favoured forum, very friendly. UKV I use mainly to look for new high end gear, their classies section does have some interesting kit. Vaperwall rarely use, but has good contacts and posts of European Vaping forum sites. Planet. Hardly use at all since finding AAEC. ECF. I find OK if you live in America or Canada, has very small section for UK vapers. For friendly user of the forum getting from post to post or finding info AAEC is definately the best (Well Done Perps & Chrissie). jeffc

Mainly on here and UKV (both incarnations) Here is very good for the mixology section, but I find UKV better for a lot of technical stuff. Prefer here, but both have there own strengths.
