The SB Hotspring will 'melt' should any overheating occur - effectively acting like a fuse - won't using the eGo board mean that thee have a regulated mod too? Unfortunately a hot spring isn't going to stop my unprotected batteries being sucked dry. Hey... 3.3v is enough for anyone. Seriously though, my other half wants this one for a bit of handbag bling. I've ordered another one and that will get the eGo-C upgrade board, when I get hold of a knackered one. Any offers?

I got one of these last week, it was a bit wimpy on the power side of things. Had a rake about and found an SB hotspring, now it's working like it should, it's a huge differenc, much better now.

soz Jerri couldn't resist I think it's basically a copper spring which has a lower resistance and is made to a higher quality than the standard cheaper, silver coloured springs, so it can act as a fuse (melting or collapsing) in the event of overcurrent and also can be used to raise the voltage output slightly of a mechanical mod.

Jerri have a look at the link on the vape gear website about modding your mod. Seems a bit of copper could have the same result. Note - I have not tried either and am not qualified in anyways electrical!!

If the UDT then quite possibly, it's very similar to an Argento and the hot spring is recommended in those as it stops battery rattle and gives an extra layer of protection. also, the hot spring has been used in the first lot of Vamos that came out as it's much better than the spring those ones were supplied with.

There is a youtube vid about it a few pages back.

Ivapour are oos at the moment anyway, it took Toby a couple of weeks to get stock in last time. They must have sold out today some time as they were in stock last night. I will find out if he has more on the way.
Edit: I have just sent him a message asking if he has more coming.

You can fit the replacement vamo spring from VE .. it does fit. Not sure if its hot or not I replaced my Vamo V2 spring with an SB spring as it was getting warm. The SB spring is a beast of a spring. I bought 3 at the time, butchered one within an inch of its life and still have another spare one. I searched high and low at the time when iVapour were oos, the only place I could get an SB spring at the time was somewhere in the US but the postage was way too high so had to wait. They are a quality spring, every home should have one or two or three
