I have a few different batteries for my GG, BW510 and SD. So far I haven't splashed out and got the dearer ones with a longer life yet but they're on my list.
What I want to know is how can I tell how much power I have left in a battery? I have a really bad memory and sometimes can't remember which ones I have charged. I don't want to keep putting batteries on the charger in case I ruin them. Any advice? ???

I've always stuck with ultrafires for all my batteries as I know they fit the mods I use as some of the pricier battery's can sometimes be fatter and won't fit certain mods so be carefull what your buying. You can normally tell when a battery looses power as you won't get the same hit anymore and they don't last as long when they've been charged, I've yet to throw a battery out since i started vaping 9 months ago not even a tornego battery.

I will look out for ultrafires thanks. I figured the loss of performance thing with some help from Chrissie and Hifi. I was wondering if there's some sort of device that can measure the power in them?

I was wondering if there's some sort of device that can measure the power in them? There is - it's called a volt meter. As batteries lose power, their voltage drops. A fully charged 18650 (or 14500 or 16340) will reach roughly 4.2 volts, and should not be discharged below 3 volts - an IMR will reach 4.15 volts and should not be discharged below 2.5 volts or will be ruined. Their discharge characteristics are repeatable, but as they age will happen over a shorter and shorter time until theres no point in charging them. Lithium Ion batteries have a limited life, whether used or not, which is unlikely to exceed three years or so.

Is a volt meter the same thing for testing resistance in atties?

Lee's SD is a SD MK1 so the batteries have to be 16340's

The yellow spiderfires from Kaidomain are protected batteries, the purple spiderfires are unprotected (that doesn't bother me though). Because of the added protection, the yellow ones are slightly longer (not found that a problem) and can be a bit lopsided (I've not had a problem but it could be if the mis-shapeness was extreme).
I've found the yellow ones last really well and do seem to be a higher mah than the purple ones (I take no notice of what's claimed - I work on experience)
