Acouple of days ago I was putting a kit together for a new convert, my old Ego 900mah batts, have had little use and some boges, juice etc, and filled a boge withan ecw tobbaco flavour on the ego battery and I had a vape on it whilst showing him how to use it, and i thought damm that's good, and today I had to venture into town with the mrs, yeah a man's got to do what a man's got to do, so wanted a small device, so took the mini gripper £8 with a viva nova on it, and guess what was back in the house at 12 ish and I'm still using it. So moral of the story is, you can have just as an enjoyable vape from the cheaper option as from an expensive mod, the expensive one's just look better, and as we all know look's can be deceiving

Absolutely Blue . . . if push came to the shove I could manage very happily with Ego batteries, although preferably Twists. Everything else I have, is just very enjoyable icing on my vaping cake.

It totally depends, really. It used to be the case that the extra money you spent made a huge and immediate difference, but the current crop of 'basic' kit is really very good - buying shinies is almost as much about the pleasure of owning them as the increase in vape quality. You're chasing 10-20% better vape at up to 10 times the cost, a lot of the time - whether that's worth it to you is entirely your own call

I nearly succumbed a few days ago. Was going to get a Vamo after reading all the glowing reviews. However, for once, I slept on it and decided in the morning that I didn't need it... YET! For the moment my Spinner and clearos are doing the job very nicely, but I'm sure one night, after too much 'amber nectar' I'm going to do something silly.

Yup totally agree, perpy twist would give the extra versatility, and beardo again agree 100%, of course everybody likes nice things, but if push came to shove, one could live quite satisfactorily on the cheaper kit, as said cheap nowadays does not mean poor vaping

You're absolutely right, Bluefish. You can do better than a Boge on an ego, but you can't do that much better... Still love my Provari, though

I use my Riva1100's with Mini Nova at work, and carry a couple TornadoC 650's (picked up free from relative) in my vape kit as spares. My Vamo usually stays at home where I am less likely to drop it. I WOULD like a telescopic mod with VW so I have something for the larger tanks while at work, but just cant justify the extra spend just yet. 2 months into "real" vaping and still looking for the saving

Batteries with a coil on top ... add juice. It's just variation after that. There are overpriced mods, overpriced cheap kit as well. The biggest gulf is between the cigalikes and the rest of the vaping gear ... compare the usual suspects against Riva kits or a Vamo ...

SD you are a slave to the shiney, of course my opinion may have changed since I lost my Provari with a Penelope attached, but when one buy's an exclusive vape kit it is rarely for a better vape it's more for the kudos, look's and maybe reliability, but not the vape. I may get another P was a good device, only thing i didn't like was I kept, or it kept increasing the voltage, this was due to it of course only having the one button, instead of separate buttons for plus and minus.

Raf mate a vamo cost's 2-3£ more than a spinner and would not be a waste of money I will guarentee you that, in fact if you buy one from robby's link and don't like it, I'll buy it off you for what you paid for it, providing it's not faulty of course.

True. I've said before that a Provari is a luxury item, and where luxury items are concerned, functionality and value for money are of minimal significance. A Casio keeps better time than a Patek Philippe, but I know which I would rather have on my wrist

Probably not worth it, but they are fun to collect!
