The recipe section on here is excellent and I've devised the percentages in the post above (hope someone helps me out on it?) from going through every recipe on it, although the screenshot posts mean the individual ingredients used are unsearchable.

It seems that opinion does vary, but i have taken note that the general consensus appears to be i would be wasting my time going on the method I'd planned to take. So as some frame of preference what percentages would you use with the following brands and flavours? these are the flavours I have: Capella Vanilla Custard - start at 10% - 15% - 20%Capella Lemon Meringue - start at 5% - 20% + some additional lemonCappella New York Cheese Cake - start at 5% CCW Honey Intense - start at 2% CCW Coconut - start at 10% CCW Chocolate - start at 10% Inawera Cappucino - start at 5% Inawera Caramel - start at 5% TPA Dulche Leche - start at 5% TPA Banana Cream - start at 5% - 10%TPA French Vanilla Deluxe - start at 5% TPA Graham Cracker - start at 5% TPA Bavarian Cream - start at 5% - 10%Wera Garden 3 Fives - start at 1% Wera Garden Tobacco Symphony - start at 1% LT Ecigs USA Mix - start at 1% I know not everyone would have used them, but if you have and think any of the above percentages need changing could you let me know if you have the time. I've made a note ^^^^ what suits me on those Mark. But it is only my preference.

That is the main problem Mark, as has been said, personal preference. I like VC at 10-12%, Perps at 15-20%

Thank you Perpetua...that is exactly what i need just as a frame of reference. I know it may seem an odd request to the more experienced, but I don;t want to end up adding more than I should and then ask why it went wrong, only for people to reply.."well you shouldn't have added that much" It's a bit daunting to start off, but i know I'll get there. The good thing about LT Ecigs is they have the percentages to start at listed next to each flavour they sell and I think other vendors should follow suit as it gives a newbie like me a little confidence. For example if it hadn't said start at 1% for the tobacco flavours on their site, I may well of ended up adding 5% thinking it's the norm to start there. Your post above has been saved for reference only as I know this is all subjective so hard to pin down exact amounts for someone elses tastes. I should have just put the list of what I had up in the first place and made it simpler for everyone. doh! Now where's me base mix.

I like VC at 10-12%, Perps at 15-20% Oh I know Roger...those percentages may well not be for me...but at least now I have somewhere to work from with each flavour....I'm only doing 2-3ml tester bottles to start so can go up or down from there accordingly. As I said above I should have just listed the flavours I had from the off and made it easier for everyone to advise.

I know this gets boring, but the best basic advice is start low-med, steep, check, adjust. Keep notes, once you are happy with a mix you have it all noted down and can knock up the next batch with confidence that it will be (just about) right straight off (after steeping). That's why, when you start mixing you really need to have enough bought in juice to last until your brews are ready. Then the production line rolls

I think it's all quite exciting, especially keeping the logs part. (I know I know i should get out more ) It was when I said I'd do one of each flavour I have, people said I was starting to low with say 50 drops base and 1 drop flavour and work up from there. So that's why I have put the list up with what percentages I'd guessed people would say start at from reading the recipes on here and other sites. Not done much else all week to be honest. I'm in no rush to get mixes rolling as such, but I am itiching to try each individual flavour and take notes on it for future reference so I have some idea when creating future flavours. Honestly I'm not trying to run before I can walk, and I have tons of pre-made juice around me to keep me vaping for at least 2-3 months. Just needed that little bit of info to get the individual taste testers on the go. As I've said previously in this thread, my first lot of Nic base, PG & VG are for experimental purposes only and getting a bit of knowledge about brands, potency & proportions. Totally appreciate the four pages of advice so far and if anyone else wants to change the list to their preferred percentages feel free to do so. Now I have a starting point, I can get started. Oh and Perpetua, the bottle of your PVC I knocked up this morning smells absolutely divine every time I open the cupboard door.

Don't be too disciplined Oxo . . . it takes the creative fun out of the process. You're far from alone on the patience front, shame we don't have a Vendor who sells it. Well first of all would that be required in 10ml or 30ml bottles or larger? as to my mind it would be subjective as to how much "patientce" is required depending on the mixer.... Having said that... I may just add some to the store, to see if it sells.... (I remember buying a can of “Irish Luck” on a holiday a long time ago… had a picture of a Leprechaun on the front holding his (alleged) pot of gold that he could only have (reputedly) found with the aid of above can of “Irish Luck”. Did it work for me? …. not sure…. It may have, but I lost it on the trip back!

Got to agree with that Perps, don't think I have made 2 mixes exactly the same :Dbut that in it's self stops my taste buds from getting to acustomed to 1 flavour. I have found one that I really like ( mount baker Extreme Ice) that I use as my basic flavour and mix a few 30ml bottles at a time but I also mix lots of other fruity stand alone flavours in 10ml bottles and use these to keep giving it a diffent twist by either adding a small squirt into my clearo or if I find one to be lush blending the extreme ice in 10ml bottles with a splash of the fruity one. Some of the combinations are just sooooo tasty
