:)Thank you fab people for this forum - it's jam packed with support, info & help. Thanks Chrissie, Scylla (liked your lolly!), Foxy & Lilac for your encouragement on a #### day! - which got definitely worse before it got better!! I'm all sewn up again now by a very nice doc & feeling much more lollipopish Can I now ask for more advice please re the following - -- ???I seem to be getting thro' 10 pre filled carts a day as well as smoking more than just a few ciggies - Is this a lot of carts or normal? -- ???What flavour are the pre filled carts as you don't get a choice when you order? I ask because I like the mystery flavour & want to order some identical juice - it'll be cheaper. I've already bought the little bottles in different flavours, tried & hated them! They're no use to me at all (any use to anyone?) & I can't keep wasting cash. (Lilac, unfortunately not keen on mint but thanks for the suggestion). Chrissie I've looked at the strength thread for juice compared to ciggies but am still puzzled about my nicotine intake now. -- ???I smoke cigarettes that are 0.1 mg nicotine! - & I haven't got the decimal point wrong!! - they are VERY mild SILVER silk cut. So for each packet of 20 not smoked what would be an equalISH amount of juice - if the juice was low strength 11 please??? Thanks for any help

the closest comparison from that table to your brand would be this..
20 Cigarettes 0.05mg nic = 10 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 10 mg Juice
So, 20 silk cut ultra low @ 0.1mg per fag would = 2mg nic per day.
E juice intake at the 11mg strength, you would only be looking at 0.2ml
doesn't leave ya with much juice to play with per day like, unless i've worked it out wrong lol.
is the table a typo, as in
20 Cigarettes 0.05mg nic = 10 mg Nic per day should it not read 0.5mg nic for each cigarette, looks to be out by a decimal point.

Finding the same flavour in a juice that you get in pre-filled carts has been impossible for me. I still have a lot of carts untouched because I was, like you, going thru them too fast, so I changed over to juice + direct dripping. This is from the juice calculator thread: 20 Cigarettes 0.09mg nic = 18 mg Nic per day - you need 1ml 18 mg Juice or 2 ml of 9 mg juice That's a very, very slightly lower strength than the cigs you've been smoking @ 0.1mg. If you go on to topping up carts or direct dripping with juice, not buying any more pre-filled carts for a while, you should be able to calculate. I feel that you are worrying too much about equivalents at this stage, and I also feel that sticking with prefilled carts is going to be expensive for you We need to find you a juice that you like What about trying the standard flavour (ie, not the double flavour/DF) Old Holborn? Prof Beard reckons that one is nice, I haven't tried it. One that I've tried which is very unobjectionable, but not as tobacco-y as pre-filled carts, is the Liquid Gold. And, is it Foxy that rates his Tobacco flavour highly? You're off the fags, take is easy on the worry side scylla

I don't count the number of carts I get through - I prefill them myself mostly. If I did count them I would end up in the funny-farm - I just count the number of coughing fits I don't have and the number of cigarettes I don't smoke and the much lower bottom line on my Tesco bill! Fox

In theory 4-5 carts should equate to 20 cigarettes.
In practice you are not going to be able to vape all the liquid out of a cart before it starts to under perform.
This may explain why you are going through so many.
The Q what liquid is in the carts..... Have seen it asked many times and not seen a 100% conclusive answer. The threads are on the ECF which is now like a minefield to find anything .
Dont know how many factories make the carts and if they are filled in the factory that makes them or elsewhere.
Who did you get the carts from ?.
I have seen suppliers say it is virginia liquid in them but as there are different brands of it its hard to say who`s brand is in them.
I would hazard a guess at Dekang as they supply 85 - 90% of all liquid made in China.
Next problem if you place a large enough order they will blend the liquid to your specifications. So different suppliers sell liquid of the same name that can be a very different flavour.
I know its not the answer you were looking for but its the only one I got ....... Sooweee

lollipop, In my humble opinion, one of the big differences between smoking and vaping is that vaping tastes nicer and the action of producing vapour is, in itself, just as satisfying as the nicotine hit. Maybe I'm just being really sad now! I suspect we smokers aren't so much addicted to nicotine as the 'action'of smoking, which is why vaping has worked such wonders with lots of us. I don't worry too much about how much nicotine I am absorbing; I am more interested in how much tobacco I am not smoking. I started off on high nic juices and am now down to medium strength ones that I dilute with VG. I suspect you would know if you were overdosing on nicotine! Wishing you the best of luck. Lynda

I'm positive that it's the action, sensation and sight of the vapour that gives the satisfaction we ex-smokers crave as much as the nicotine - well almost anyway. That's the reason why even the Nicorette Inhalator didn't do a thing for me (the one I lit). I don't get half the satisfaction from vaping if I do it in complete darkness as I do when I can see the vapour. The same was the case when smoking a cigarette. The brain is a complex character indeed! Fox:)

(((Lolli)))) I've not really got anything else to add to add to what the others have already said, so I'm mainly posting this just to give you a hug Don't be hard on yourself, it sounds to me that you have been under a lot of extra stress lately & that may be a reason why you haven't found a satisfying nicotine level yet.

Lollipop, Hang on in there please. It was your thread that got me started on the ecig and today is 10 days tobacco free for me. Not much compared to so many on here, but it's a huge success for me, after being a smoker for over 40 years. And, yes, I have to agree with Foxy and Lynwit; in my case, it's the act of smoking that I've been addicted to; I've now been nicotine free for 9 days. Started using zero strength cartridges on the second day and haven't used anything else since. So keep going Lollipop, and thanks to you for helping me to become a non-smoker (so far) at last.
