Thanks Karma and Robby. If it is solid enough to last for 10 months, it's good enough for me, just bought one I've found a video where you can see the number on the battery PE 902360 2200mAh 3.7V.Quick Google search throws nothing, Robby you might be wiser where to get hold of such battery... In this video the guy decribes the problem with some MVPs, the charging connector comes off or is badly soldered on.That would be easily fixed if it comes to that... Was a little concerned at the 2200mah battery, but it turns out there are two 2200mah batteries inside. There doesnt seem to be a lot of chatter about the USB plug on the net, so hoping it is sorted. It looked like the body of the USB connector had very poor solder adhesion although the actual soldering looked fine from what you could see in the vid. I suspect it has been sorted, there are a lot of these out there now, but like I said, not a lot of chatter about faults of any kind. It seems there are different versions out there, some of those earlier ones, like that one in video, had this connector issue. I guess Innokin had ironed that out in the past few months. My concern is, we all know that there are grades for electronic devices, even of the same manufacturer.Whenever I buy something from China I kind of expecting to get the Grade B product. So the question is, are we getting the older version of MVP for £30 or the newer one?

It wont be the old version jonn, it will be the same version that every vender in the UK is selling. They are all getting them from the same place...China. The fix would have been an easy fix at the time, probably sorted as soon as the dodgy batch was found.

But others could find this discussion useful and informative. I quite fancy the idea of fitting a bigger battery into my incoming MVP

That`s what I am thinking as well, surprised that there are 2 2200mah batteries in there, but they only claim 2600mah

robby, could it be they are connected in series so they just regulate/convert the volts down. One battery will give you 2.2 Amps for an hour. Two batteries in series will give you 2.2 Amps for an hour also, but at a higher voltage. However the higher voltage is being converted down to lower voltage. In effect same in an AC transformer but is an electronic converter circuit. Imagine it has about a 20% efficiency. Therefore at 5 volts out ( its max voltage) is derived from 2x3.7 volts which is 7.4 volts. so we have 2.2amps at 7.4 volts = 16.28 watts for an hour. The power out at 5 volts has to be the same less 20%, which is typical for small converter circuits, for efficiency loss = 16.28x0.8 = 13.02 watts in an hour. 13.02 watts at 5 volts from I=P/V = 13.02/5 = 2.604Amps for one hour. And there you have it ...2604mAh. or 2600mAh is close enough.....and that is how it is done.

TECC had competition last week or whenever and announced the answers in their weekly newletter on Friday. Basically If you decrease the resistance the voltage increases so you get more vapour. I of course jumped in and posted on their facebook page they had made a mistake and it is the current which increases. Now, WHY would they remove my post instead of answering it and admitting they made a mistake or indeed correcting me if I am wrong? Is it because the wrong winners won and had the answers wrong I wonder! (Please don't jump on bandwagon to knock any companies.. keep it civil and light hearted as we would with any other company)
