Tesco to market and sell ecigs

I've vaped in my local Tesco, only at the checkout though.

Funny thing was that the first time I vaped in there I did it without thinking and got told of for smoking "you can't smoke in here luv" she said. After explaining what it was I was doing and assuring her that there was no tobacco or smoke involved managed to convert her and her assistant to using e-cigs. They were my first converts.

Now I only vape at the checkout as it does'nt look good vaping around food, you get some horified looks from some people.

It's got to be a positive step for electronic cigarettes hasn't it . . . although like Clutty, the claim that they equal 30 ciggies is rather misleading and could be prove to be disappointing to would be converts.

I wonder if they will start selling liquid at a later date. Might even be on double points lol

I would see that as being highly unlikely. I reckon that 10 motives have got their bases covered on this and it wouldn't surprise me if their 1 product is or will be looking down the route of an MA if the MHRA get their way.

Completely agree with rusty, I think it would be very unlikely that they will ever sell juice.

Wow........best of luck with getting a position there Dee. Could be a great chance for you to influence which e cigs they sell. Someone like yourself (with knowledge and experience of actually using them) would be ideal in my opinion.

Tesco is way behind Intellicig in that the latter has thousands of retail outlets selling their products (including EcoPure liquid); these are a few not a million miles from me:

I've just found this thread and want to let you know that I have updated the other thread, re how well it's going so far.

Thanks Jaki, it was just a thought, being a foster carer I spend 90% of my time at home, not easy after spending years repping, then the latter years as a family support worker
