((( Bel ))) Don't put yourself under any pressure not to have a ciggie, it's bound to take your body a wee time to adjust. . . . so if having a couple helps, then do. Tomorrow is another day.

Bel, I can promise you that the way you're feeling will pass; if it hasn't already. Your feelings aren't facts; try to distance yourself a little from those feelings.
It's good you're posting about it too; that should take the power out of some of those feelings. You could also have a chat with your hubby; just explain how you're feeling (though him being a bloke like me, we're not great listeners; we're 'fixers' and he'll probably give you similar advice to what I am; LOL). But talking helps.
And you're doing great; a deeply grooved habit like smoking isn't easy to shake; tell me about it!
Just take it a minute at a time if need be. It will pass. Everything passes; it's called the Law of Impermanence.

Sounds like you may need to increase your nic level, at least for a short while.

dont try to stress yourself... As perpy told if you feel that bad just have one cig as you have tomorrow.
When I started vaping I used to have 4 - 5 cig a day plus vaping (I was 20+ a day smoker for 10+ years)
Than once I started loving vaping I did not even know how I was reducing the cigerettes and suddenly one day I found out that I was not smoking anymore nor did I have any cravings to smoke
So you just take your time and just up the nicotine content a little more as jason told...
And before you know it you would be out of cig..
I am sure your hubby would understand you...

I'm not completely analogue free yet. I'm pretty close down from 15-20 a day to 2 and I did manage a full 24 hours without it. Knowing that I can have one and i'm not a failure if I have one makes it easier for me as there isn't that pressure there. I see this as an alternative to smoking and this is my transitional phase.

Good luck to you both and must say cutting down from 15-20 and having 2 is a result, ask yourself would you have ever imagined that a few months ago? Think you should both be proud

Yup this is just a cleaner alternative to smoking. It isn't nictotine replacement, so having analogs as well dosen't make you a failure.
At least you are giving it a try, some people I know just won't give up the analogs at all even after trying my Riva.
I guess, in some respects, it's a preference thing. I now couldn't look at smoking again, but one of my friends couldn't look at vaping..so it's horses for courses.

Keep at it Bel, you're doing great. You'll get tough days but don't feel guilty or stressed about it. If you have to have a ciggy have one. My other half smokes and vapes. She is smoking far less than she used to and I'm proud of her for even sticking with the vaping. She's just doing it all in her own time, no need to pressure herself. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

I also hope tomorrow is a better day for you (((Bel))) I know you don't want to upset your husband, but do try not to put yourself under any pressure. Also as Jason says, it may help if you up your nic level.
