Hi guys I went for my yearly check up yesterday and said to my health worker I've quit smoking again as I was having probs breathing again, anyways been feeling slightly better since going back to my riva but my health working says they wont recommend e-cigs or vapeing as there's not been many/much testing on this for the uk health system to recommend it I've found if I vape PG it plays up on my cheast so went over to vg after some good advice from james on paradise vape uk and feel ok now, so my question is .... is vaping safe and has there been any testing done? maybe its time the uk health service done tests to see if its a good way to help people quit the smellies anyways I'd like your thoughts and comments on this subject

Lots of testing has been done and all looks safe so far but... No long term testing has been done yet as e-cigs haven't been around long enough to do long term studies yet.

Not to get to any technical details Vaping is not safe it is a lot safer than cigarettes We can say that it has only 1 or 2% of the harmful effects of a ciggi but since that 1% is there it cannot be called safe But the reason a doctor is not suggesting vaping might be because no official body might have confirmed it safer This is just my personal opinion

Hi and good evening It certainly is a tricky question. to vape or not. But even so, I still do firmly believe it is a better and less harmful alternative to smoking any tobacco product. Most of us here share this belief! Personally, I made my decision to vape as I was fully aware of the terrible illnesses that cigarettes very often cause. I was totally unable to give up nicotine so I did what I thought was the best way forward..my ecig> no tar > but still enjoying my nicotine habit. You are lucky as at the end of the day, the choice is yours

I think exactly along the lines of Beeper above, only been at it shy of two months and I can't help but think 'this must have some harmful effects? But then I remind myself, the alternative is categorically and unequivocally suicidal; and then I press the button and savour the flavour once more

I told my doctor last week I had quit smoking and switched to an ecig, he said "they are brilliant and a million times better than smoking and I wish more people would give them a try" that sounds healthy enough to me
