It is a good time to do this poll, nice one, Des! Started vaping to cut down, which happened surprising quickly & easily & after only a few days, it was vape only!

Funny thing about giving up and vaping ...
Missus said, "Right No More smoking in the house now!!!!"... so I agreed.
Now she has to banish herself to the back garden to have her occasional, while I vape away indoors...

I agree womble it smells disgusting ....however even when I smoked full time I hated the smell ....it never stopped me then and unfortunately it doesn't stop me now ...but I have gone from 25 a day to 4/5 a week so I'm pleased with that ......I'd really like to stop altogether but just now that's just not happening for me When I smoked I thought it smelled horrible, unless I was smoking, which then I thought smelled ok..... I hated the smell of smoking on others, which was weird and then went and smoked myself. When I stopped I realised everything I owned smelled of smoke, even my towel. I started with a cigalike and have never had a real cig since the first vape, I realised when I took my first vape, that this could do it, it's close enough and real enough to do the job. I struggled for a few months, I worked through a riva and various clearos etc, tried to get the vape and juice which worked for me. I found the VV lavatube and worked with that for a while, it helped, but I still struggled, then I found rebuildables, which made the world of difference. For the last year or so, it's been easy, no struggling, I vape because I enjoy it, I can go a day and not be too bothered if I vape or not, but give me a beer and I need the vape that hits the spot. I suspect when I get a beer, if I didn't have the vape that hits the spot, I might be tempted to have a fag, even though it disgusts me to think about it. So hopefully vaping will continue to be available. Otherwise I will really be in the sh1t

I stopped the day after i got my first look-a-like. Although I had a few the next week as I was rather poorly, I wasn't sure if it was the vaping, fag withdrawal or I was just ill. Since then I had one as a tester so to speak, so I voted no.
However a poll on a dedicated vaping site, is a bit misleading, considering many of us use APVs or at least egos, whereas many Joe Publics use look a likes. And then, they won't be able to completely stop as easily.

No, so easy to give up with e-cigs, from 60 ish a day to zero no problem. I now find the smell of cigarettes offensive, its OK I realise that I made this offensive smell for many years so do not criticise others from produceing it!

I don't remember recently seeing a poll about this but reading the MHRA crap press release it said 50% of e-cig users still smoke tobacco cigarettes, so my question is do you? Maybe 80% of all e-cig users are using look-a-likes. If 70% of them are still smoking, I fully sympathise. Everyday I meet people spending their money or cartomisers from the supermarket who curiously are unable to entirely stop smoking.

Started vaping just before August bank holiday last year, decided maybe this could do it when the NRT's had failed, after 4/5days thought better kit was in order & ordered my first ego kit . . . & wouldn't you know it vapefest + bankhols Anyhoo 2nd September got the news DS's best mate had collapsed & died from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome . . . last cig was the night of his funeral 15th Sep . . . still got 25gm of baccy in the cellophane under the cutlery tray in the kitchen draw, only know it's there cos the flippin front came off the draw last week & I had to empty it to fix it . . . . think I'll frame it in one of those "break for emergency" boxes & wait for 2016

Not a single one in over 3 years. That's someone who smoked 40/50 a day for almost 4 decades and had difficultly going 3 hours without a cigarette. That said for anyone who does do both, it's no biggie in my book . . . count the ones you don't smoke, not the ones you do.

i have not had a cig since 23 dec 2011 since my wife bought a £100 nucig cig a like yes that is £100 i hit the roof as i did not want to stop and it was more than we could afford at the time so i gave it a go and was surprised i stayed with it for over 2 months then got a riva kit,i will never go back to the ciggies as the smell makes me feel sick and the missus would kill me...i have tried every type of NRT as well and it is total crap apart from the vivid dreams i got from putting a patch on just before bed.
