EVOD Leaking

I mentioned in my thread this morning that we'd had a bit of an issue with our EVODs leaking juice through the centre hole and into the mouth piece.

Luckily, I haven't had this issue at all today, even when I've checked and turned it upside down I'm not getting anything coming out.

OH has got problems.................

She's said that the juice is leaking out the mouthpiece, she says it's almost spitting out when she's vaping. She's now saying that there is juice leaking from the EVOD where the head is screwed on (out the side rather than the bottom).

(Note to self......should have ordered spares!!)

I've tried to help her over the phone, shes taken the head off and wiped it and run a cotton bud down the centre hole to clear any juice but she's adamant that it's still leaking.

She said she's tightened the head up etc and I've made sure she hasn't over tightened onto the spinner.

She's determined not to have a stinky so at the moment is perservering with it but any ideas what's causing this as I will need to try and fix it when I get home as I don't think her patience will last the whole night vaping like that.

That just happened to me, think it was a duff Evod unfortunately. Have you got any spare atty heads? They sort out most problems in my experience.

Yeah I did get a pack of 5 evod atty heads when I placed my order with VE so will have to give that a try. Thanks Jen!

Must learn how to recoil at some point! I've been a big scaredy cat about it, but it would save a lot on atty heads

Bummer. I reckon evods are pretty rugged, but maybe washer at base is damaged? or cross threaded?

Always have a spare. If you OH is also using, have 2.

Lesson learnt on the spares, spares and more spares rule!!

It's only been like this since she topped up the juice so there is a chance that she's done something wrong.....but let's keep that to ourselves

I'd of thought that to cross thread it you'd have to give it some real abuse so I just can't think what's happened.

Next on the to do list for me too Jen .... have been putting it off for ages now but being able to recoil your own seems to fix a multitude of problems and improve the vape on some attys

The spitting sounds like she has got juice down the centre tube when she topped up.

Sounds a bit like she may have overfilled it, that would certainly cause the juice to come up the mouthpiece

That's what I thought Chrissie but she's got a cotton wool bud and stuck it down the centre tube, got the juice out that was in there and she's saying it keeps leaking more juice

She said she hasn't - I gave her a demonstration of how to top up yesterday so she knows not to overfill.

That wouldn't explain the leaking out the head though!

I've always found that the whole mouth/lapful of juice thing is the Evod's way of telling me it needs a new atty! Happens a little more often than I'd like, but that's hopefully where the recoiling will help...still a little scared though

She's been vaping at 4.8v on the spinner - I told her to turn it down this morning - maybe shes wrecked the atty?

I've just spoken to her again, she said it looks like it's leaking through the 3 little holes in the head.

She said she can take maybe 2 or 3 inhales and then it leaks out again - she's gone through nearly a full EVOD of juice and hardly vaped any of it!

The three little holes are the airholes and not located in the tank - this means the juice is coming down through the atty head bit. Maybe an O-ring has become displaced like giles said?
