I'm very lucky as my better half bought me a Provari as a present. I'm not sure I would have spent all that money on a mod myself, but now that I've used one I would definitely save for another if I felt I wanted another VV mod. Why not? I say that to anyone who feels pangs of guilt on treating themselves to anything, not just a vaping related treat. I don't have unlimited funds like all of us, but I've not had a moments regret or remorse buying my Provari's. We are all so worth treating ourselves . . . buy what you think will give you pleasure and enjoy it.

It's always wise to have spares whatever device you do decide to invest the most in. Nothing you've so far bought is a waste.

I could never ever justify spending that amount of cash on a mod that is fussy about batteries and what devices you put on top.
I have a vamo v2. It gets bashed around all the time but takes the beating. It takes my crappy 18350s as well as 18650s and lasts longer than my old lavatube chrome.
It is vw and vv and is not fussy about the things I put on top.
If it ever broke, I could just buy a new 1 for less than £20.
To me it's like watches. You can spend £100 or even £25000 on a watch and it might even do less than a watch costing £25 from Argos but people will still buy them and justify it with "quality" but really, it's all about the brand and that +1 feeling you get when people ask is that a real (insert brand here)

It isn't . . . you can use anything on a Provari and get a fantastic vape from it Chiller, it isn't Ego threaded like many devices but that's easily resolved with an adapter. Yes, there are specific batteries to use in it, which I don't see as a negative as they last considerably longer than cheaper makes and are all I use in my Mods now anyway. I consider 2+years of heavy battery usage and still going strong to be a sound investment. Like anything, it's down to the individual to decide what to spend their money on. Branding doesn't enter into the decision for me.

I have a mini and used it every day since Christmas, before that I used a zmax and the fact that it does not use pulse width modulation is a massive plus. PWM seems to run an atty harder and gives that horrible buzzing as its running. The build quality is great - I shove it in pockets with keys, phone, shove it on top of flight cases with metal bits all over them and it still looks almost as new. The zmax hasn't been used since I got the provari.
Saying that, now I have more experience, I started using straight battery tube mods recently and I'm lucky enough to own a MISTer hybrid which is amazing, the provari sits in my vaping box slightly unloved. There is something a bit nicer to non vv vaping for me now.

I think that if I can put a tenner away each month, or twenty I would and will save up for the daddy PV. When it comes, let me know I found a great link last night that helps you understand watts, and the benefit. Good move though Baz, you Black Cat will taste devine on it..lol

Happy vaping. jeffc ukvapers.org/Thread-TWINS-telescope-battery-extension-for-ProvariOnly for the Mini, but it means that you can use 18650 batteries, problem is like the Hippo (same company) they'er only available on an irregular basis, pretty much as soon as they'er made they sell out.

You beat me to it, they are from altmisique (spelt wrong prob) and they mean you can use 350, 500 and 650 batteries in the mini. I had no idea of them being exclusive tho, just put an order in when I ordered the provari!

Maybe some day. I've heard so many great things about the Provari but for now I am happy with my gear.
