People keep saying about their summer duvet. Mine is 15 tog and is on all year round, plus I just couldn't sleep without my teddy bear brushed cotton pjs, and a hoodie, it will all be on tonight for sure. Summer duvet? Lmao! Me n the Mrs have resorted to a single cotton sheet and lots of nakedness. Even my daughter came in last night complaining that it was too hot to sleep so we did the same for her.

Cornwall is blissfully hot at the moment, but I have Mediterranean blood in my genes, and dark skin, so love the sun. Spent a pleasant evening at the same pub as the Cornwall Mini-meet catching up with some old college friends last evening and was still wearing a shirt and shorts at 10.30pm with no thought of popping back to the car for a jumper, it was still warm. zeldamum, Bluefish, DiscoDes and Chrissie - I could still smell the remains of your visit lingering in the still air!! Pear drops I think! Andy ETA: I pumped out a goodly amount of PVC to keep it company, needless to say!!

The heat I can cope with . . . the hot weather fashions are a different matter however! I agree. I am a big woman nowadays only since becoming immobile. I just couldn't bring myself to wear some of the things I have seen. I resign myself to loose fitting 100% cotton tops where possible. I also have to wear longish sleeves because of my psoriasis. The way I'm going I'll I shall be sporting a burkha soon!!

Glad you enjoyed the pub even if it was a couple of days late Try working in a conservatory I had to give up sewing yesterday as it got to 53 degrees Love the hot weather until I have to work.

Why don`t we have those dresses they wear in the Middle Eastern countries over here...I think they would provide a welcome draught when it`s too warm.

That was the early 80`s Jen, I`m not going back there I`d probably get a sarong caught in the freezer door in Asda and end up naked in the middle of the shop... one rogue gust of wind and I`d end up on YouTube at least

i only wear light weight sarongs in this weather, they are sheer but with loads of patterns on, from a distance you can't see through them. the postie had a shock the other day when I wasin the front garden and took the mail of him LOL!. In the house I wear nothing. Bliss.
