Vaping in hospital, no problem.

Have been at my local hospital all day today, while my youngest had some bone setting surgery. Did not want a fag, or even a vape. Went back to my car while he was in sugery, and had a few vapes, but got fed up even with that. Is this the beginning of the end of adidction... all down to vaping!

Hi Raffles,
Hospital is not a good experience for kids (been there, done that, myself, my kids and now my grandkids) but if you take the time to listen to them and explain what is going on they usually come out of it OK.
I'm glad your little one is on the mend and will make a full recovery before too long.

Thanks philh... but he's not a youngster, he's in his 30s... but you still think of them as kids, and just want to take the pain away. Seen him today, all plastered up and arm in a sling. But he's still 'my little boy'.

My little boy will be 40 next year but as you say I hate anything bad happening to him.

Can't believe I posted on this thread at the start and have missed it since! How's the treatment going Philh? Have you finished your chemo now or are they keeping you on it? Hope you're doing well

Hi,
I am still on the chemo. The first few sessions seem to have done something so they have decided to give me some more.
As it happens I had to go for a blood test today for chemo treatment tomorrow. I just hope it doesn't affect me like the last time when I ended up in hospital.
