Off the rollies for a bit over a week now,Ego starter kit CE4 clearomizer with standard 650 mAH battery (in a little silver tin with a window for £20 and free 10ml juice, feels just like my old Golden Virginia limited edition tin)and Liberty Flights apple 24% is my kit right now.I am an instant convert and love vaping and the tech and the gear(also the unexpected lifestyle change...) This setup will do me for now but I aim to get an Evod with an Ego twist 900mAH after reading endless reviews and vids .
My fluke 77 multimeter shows I have a 3.2 ohm coil measured at room temp not vaped for about half an hour.
I want more volume of exhaled vape like in the youtube clips I have seen. People using Ego ce4's seem to get more clouds than me. So my question is this:
Should I use a lower resistance coil to get more smoke?
Or
Should I use juices with more VG to make more smoke?

intelicide either of those things should produce more vapour.

And both will give you even more!! Just a point which I have picked up from these hallowed threads, especially as my electrical knowledge extends to how to plug in my laptop to the mains - I believe you have to ascertain the base resistance of your multimeter by touching the contacts together, and then subtract that from your reading. I say this because I really can't believe that your Clearos are really 3.2ohm. It is much more likely to be in the region of 2 - 2.5ohm, which might be closer if you try what I have suggested above. Please try it out and then post back, as I would love my limited scientific knowledge to actually prove to the right! Andy

Try filming or taking a pic of your current setup, what I'm trying to say is it always appears like there is more vapor on film than there probobly is because 1, it's coming straight towards you 2, It's coming from at most 3 feet away, tricks of the trade mate. But for more vapor take longer slower draws, and upping the vg gives more vapor.

The other trick to get a video with lots of vapour is suck it into the mouth and blow it out again - no inhale.
I don't think you'll be disappointed with the twist/evod - it's what I use myself for out & about, and you'll get clouds of vapour with a high-VG juice if you turn the volts up - but if you are, try a dual-head top coil (like the iclear, or nova with X-heater), which I reckon give more vapour for any given voltage.

It's also because the bright lights reflect and refract within the vapour cloud making it appear denser.

I found evod's tend to leak. Better off with a protank mini.....
Bit higher volume and fab. There are some youtube videos on how to test your resistance using a multimeter...
Or buy a vamo LOL

As a rule of thumb higher watts will create more vapour, that's assuming the juice can get to the coil fast enough. you can increase the watts by either a lower resistance coil or upping the voltage. A mod with vv/vw and ohms tester will allow you to experiment and get the most from whatever atomiser you are using.

I say buy a carto tank and some low Res cartos. Maybe it's just me, but this set up whoops the backside off an evod. The only way to vape huge clouds from a wimpy clearo is to boost the volts miles up. For that, an 18650 vv VW mod is better. I.m.o.

Set up a webcam and 50w spotlight, shut your eyes and record yourself vaping. Then simply play it back to see bountiful clouds of vapour!

Instead of the 50w light,i could use this disco light projector which i am repairing for someone: ) Anyway,I measured the coil again today and got 2.8ohms. When i short the probes together the meter reads 00.0 I think the fluke can automatically subtract probe resistance to zero the reading. So,it seems a lower ohms head is for me.

2.8ohm is a more realistic reading intelicide - sounds as though your multimeter takes the probe resistance into account. Something around the 2.0 ohm mark would definitely create more vapour, and coupled with a battery or mod where you can adjust the voltage or wattage would improve this further. Happy experimentation! Don't discount the Vision Spinner 1300. IMHO it knocks tin hats of the twist

It does seem that 3.2ohms would seem to be high, as has already been said it should around 2.2-2.5ohms which is the standard setting, also as said before both would do the trick...I get lots of vapour and I use 100% VG e-liquid but as I'm new here don't think I am allowed to say where from. I have been vaping since 23rd June 2012, I found out I had a PG allergy and went on a massive search for the best VG e-liquids, eventually found them and I do get a throat hit, lots of vapour and tons of flavour too xx I use a couple of kits, I love my eGO-C Twist and use it with a CE5, an Evod and a X9 Protank, use the X9 Protank for clearo crackers and have pineapple in it at the moment, which is delicious and clouds of vapour x MK
