If i am at home, by myself, i can clear 10ml of juice easily, but i vape a lot when i am alone especially when programming. if i am out and about its 3/4ml maybe even less. Every person is different, it's like asking how much someone eats in a day! no one will give you the same answer twice, it's personal preference, and for reference i was a 30 a day smoker. it's true what you are saying that its different for all. I'm not even going through a tank (1.6) a day, and I feel i'm chain vaping. and I double vape, second more full flavoured. I must admit cigarettes are starting to taste very odd and I look forwards to vaping after. I have cut out so many cigs now, not many to go. soon I'll be saying goodbye to them...

I'd set yourself a day, and just try vaping all day, i switched to vaping as soon as my first ecig arrived, and haven't touched a cig since.

Wisher, what Digiw0rx just posted is so really true.
In the past couple of week my wife was doing the same as you and for a few days funds were low and there were no Marlboro Lights bought so she had no alternative but to vape . After 1 whole day only vaping she was convinced, after 2 whole days a total convert.Just tonight I found her on Liberty Flights looking at cool shiny batteries and coloured clearos.
My point is,ensure there are no fags in the house or the car.The thought is worse than the reality..you will be satisfied with 100% vaping.
This is our humble experience anyway...

Totally agree with the last two posters. I was half using my SD keyring and half smoking cigs. Did that for a few weeks then one night realised I only had one ciggie left. Decided to smoke it so I only had my e-cig to use until I left for work the next morning. Told myself if I REALLY needed a cig, I would buy some then. When it was time to leave for work I realised I actually felt okay, and told myself I'd wait until lunchtime to buy cigs. Lunchtime came and I still felt okay so said I would wait until my way home to buy them. Three months later, I STILL haven't bought that pack of ciggies!! Just try it for one day and see how you get on.

Hi there! Can you say where you get 100ml for £17.99 and whether they do menthol at that price?? We get through quite a lot of it! Thanks joehel - if you wa nt menthol, make your own - its probably the easiest & will cost you a lot less than £1 for 10ml
Check the mixing board - menthol is very easy to make. If you vape 18mg juice, just get some 18mg base nic, and throw in some menthol crystals from the chemist - if its not minty enough, throw in a few more Thanks, I will check out the mixing board. That's a side of this I haven't dared venture into yet, as I'm a bit worried about mixing nicotine and getting the amounts wrong!

Now they are gone and I feel much better. They do say it is harder for people who cut down as the few cigs you do have become more special (in your mind) but most who vape seem to find the few cigs seem to taste vile.

My friend found her "emergency" 2 ciggies in a kitchen cupboard about 2 weeks after quitting them full time. She thought it would be a shame to waste them so lit one up. Decided immediately it was completely disgusting and that was that! She says she'll never be tempted to go back.

That's brilliant, I was the other way unfortunatley as deep down I didn't really want to quit(do now and have done) so put myself through the mental torture of go on, you know it's vile but it's what you do Sharon, you smoke cigs. My book has totally removed the mental brain washing and now I have no desire at all, at last..lol It seems a lot of vapers can take at least 3 months before finally removing the fear of not being able to have a cig, and do both. I can understand why as everyone is different and has a different degree of brain washing to sort out. I am still around 4mls a day, I think. @whisher this book might help if you feel you are struggling imagining quit the last few cigs. www.gobookee.net/allen-carr-easyway-to-stop-smoking/It help to remove the fear and makes you see you are not giving anything up, but just quitting the slavery of cigs. Hope you find it helpful.

That's a side of this I haven't dared venture into yet, as I'm a bit worried about mixing nicotine and getting the amounts wrong! You can't go wrong with menthol For 200 ml of 18mg 50/50 menthol you need: PG Nic Base £5.88
VG Nic Base £6.00
Which comes to £14.88 including shipping (discount code LT10 does not seem to be working) Menthol Crystal £1.79 from Lloyds (or other pharmacy). Chuck it all in a bottle together, give a good shake, leave til crystals disolved. There you have 200ml of VERY strong menthol for £16.67 I personally would crush the menthol crystals a bit/lot (they dissolve easier), and add cautiously. You can't get the nic strength wrong, as its all 18mg, so no danger of poisoning yourself with daft-strong juice. Just watch the strength of the menthol. (Someone may be able to give you a better indication of how much menthol you need for 200ml)

I made my own menthol the other day joehel, & you don't need to get nic base if you don't trust yourself with it just add the menthol to whatever you are using. Heres how i did it: A 5ml pot of menthol crystals & some glycerin from Boots (you will find this near cough medicines) crush half the menthol crystals & put in to a 10ml bottle then fill up with glycerin, put in microwave without the lid & count 5 seconds then put lid on & shake, thats it ready to vape but you will only need 2 or 3 drops in the clearo you are using, if you need any more just add 1 drop at a time as it is very strong. If you like menthol you can use the full pot of menthol crystals & approx 10ml of glycerin Cost is £1-79 for menthol crystals, £1-36 for 250ml bottle glycerin, Tesco also sell a 38ml bottle of glycerin in the baking section with the flavourings & food colourings.
it way be safer to use a glass bottle or jug to use in the microwave as you don't want it melting the plastic bottle

I understand what everyone is saying setting a date to just vape all day,, It's not an excuse but I cant do the getting rid of the cigarettes out of the house cos OH is still on them (he's still at the dipping toe in the water stage). so I'm very happy to vape and just replace as many as possible. then one day it WILL happen that I don't have any at all...
I'm going to set up another thread to ask my next questions. as I'm looking at going a lot smaller with kit(ego mini keyring), but i'll save it for another thread.
thankyou to everyone who has posted on this thread, It's filled with information, as least I know it doesn't matter how much we vape, it's not going to do me any harm, if I only vape 2ml per day or 10ml per day. so thankyou.

What I love about vaping is that it doesn't have to be all or nothing and you don't have to suddenly switch over. Takes the pressure off, which in the end makes it easier to be honest! Just do what feels right for YOU! My OH was still on roll-ups full-time when I switched to the vape and it really didn't bother me at all, as I truly felt like I had something BETTER. When he saw how easily I was doing it, he wanted to have a go. He didn't like the SD keyrings I was using - not enough of a hit for him - but I got him a kit of his own and he's never looked back. Two of my workmates have said the same thing. Don't worry about what your OH is doing, it doesn't affect you. Best of luck and enjoy!

Just try setting yourself a date without getting rid of the cig's, i still have 50g of tobacco on my desk that i haven't touched since i started vaping, and the temptation isn't even there anymore.

I hope you don't mind me asking this but do you really want to give up the cigs or are you doing it because you vape you feel you have to, if that's the right term of phrase. If you do then great, I have no doubt it will happen. If not don't beat yourself up as my research on google has lead me to threads where people vape for 90% of the day and smoke for the other 10%. It is not always a natural progression that all vappers completely quit cigs, although most do through choice.

Yes...it's true. I suspect there might be even 500g around my house. Just no interest at all...which is good.
