Hi Debbie and welcome.
I switched to the cig-alikes in January (I wasn't really aware of the alternatives back then) after 40 years of smoking, mostly roll-ups. My strategy was to go over *completely* to using the ecig straight away, and if it really didn't work out for me, I'd go back. I used up the last of my tobacco and told myself, okay, until further notice, this gadget here is where my nicotine is at, so get used to it. After three days, I had a taste of tobacco smoke again, and I couldn't believe how disgusting it was. My point is, the quicker you remove tobacco completely from the picture, the quicker you'll lose the taste for it. That's how it was for me, anyway, and I haven't had a cigarette (or the desire for one) since that day.
I wish you good luck, but I really don't think you'll need it.

Everything has been dispatched today ....whenever it comes I am sure I shall enjoy putting it all together and tasting all the juices I know that today so far I have smoked a load more stinkies than I usually would, obviously my mind knows that soon its all about to change......I really dont know why it would panic in such a way....I got a nice high nic strength to start with.... With so many people wishing me good luck, how can I fail lol..... I am like a kid on Christmas Eve...waiting for Santa to visit....just this time he will be a postie

Debbie13 above all, don't put yourself under any pressure, just relax with your e-cig & enjoy inhaling & exhaling the lovely vapour

Hello and welcome Debbie. You made the right decision.
A word of advice from a heavy ex-smoker (almost 2 years since my last cigarette, and that was bad, black, cigarlike stuff - 30-40 of them) - don't deny yourself the cigarettes, feel free to smoke if you want. It is different to the patches and gums, vaping does not mean that you lost the fight if you smoke a cigarette now and then. Every cigarette that you did not smoke counts.
I have not stopped smoking, I took up smoking 2.0!
You will find that vaping will naturally replace smoking more and more, because it _is_better_ than smoking. It tastes better, it creates more "smoke", it is more fun. And then, if you want, some time in the future, throw away your tobacco, not because of pressure, but because you found something better.
I still have multiple cartons of Gitanes here, maybe some time I can hand them down as antiques to a smoker. I just don't have a reason to smoke them myself.

Thankyou, the " no pressure " advice is the best so far, really is.....this time it will be how many I have not smoked not how many I have....So many people have said if you fancy a ciggie just have one, but that I will probably find I dont like the taste and have a vape instead......I feel much better knowing that my tobacco is still sat here, bit like a comfort blanket, it may stay here for a while until I am comfortable to either pass it on or bin it....I decided if I wait and let it run out I would panic, so while I still have at least another few weeks supply left it feels the right time. Thank you for making me feel like this, more relaxed and happy about giving this a go, every stinkie vaping replaces is far better for my health than never giving this a go, maybe in the past I have put far too much pressure on myself and failed before I know it, this time I feel a tad excited about having a go. The patches and gum etc always made me feel dread, a kind of now or never feeling. Good luck to all who are giving this a go, if I can try this then anyone can, its worth the effort....maybe it will knock the smoke on the head Why does my postie have to come in the afternoon......I cannot wait to get my hands on this....

It took me a couple of weeks to be a ciggy free zone Debbie . . . I didn't have a moments angst about still smoking my first one of the morning either. When that passed, I kept my last opened pack of cigs for 2 years before I felt ' secure ' enough to ditch them. The first time I went out without a pack of cigs and a lighter, it felt like I'd forgotten to put my undies on. Good luck and I'll look forward to hearing how you get on when I finish work this evening.

Debbie that is totally the way to do it. I haven't had a stinkie now for nearly 4 months, but when I got my first ecig I did both for a good couple of weeks. It was only when I made myself run out of ciggies and HAVE to totally use the Ecig that my taste started to adjust properly and I realised how much more I enjoyed the ecig. I never looked back. I think that once people get their head around the fact that we ONLY smoke for nicotine, we realise how much better the ecig is. I don't just mean health wise. We still get our nicotine hit, but without the guilt, smell and cost. It's like only ever having drunk Tesco value lager then being given a bottle of Bud. I have had 11 friends and colleagues ask me about my ecig who are now totally converted themselves, and 4 more are waiting for their kit to arrive. People are changing because this is SO much better. Even my hubby - after 37 years of rollups - can't believe he's not had a fag in over 3 months. He LOVES his monster vape machine and will never smoke a rollie again. For once, we can give up something bad and have something way better, tastier, cheaper and guilt-free.

Oh Debbie13 what a shame that everything else has arrived apart from your actual e-cig kit Where did you end up ordering it from out of interest?

Debbie13 do be careful buying anything e-cig related off ebay. Ebay banned the sale of e-cigs over 3 years ago, therefore at any time, the listings could be removed & the sellers banned, which could make it difficult putting in a claim if anything goes wrong Also the Joose-juice e-liquids are freshly made so will improve even more with steeping.

Not looked lately the theres hundreds of listings most under shisha,a few are vendors think ebay has relaxed it, now back to original welcome to all the new ones above lol Congrats on your new venture but be warned none have mentioned shiny stuff its a bug curse no antibiotics can cure it when you get a bit confident re coiling a evod etc will come,it looks scary but once you done one it will be what was all that fuss about, plus saves you even more£££..then you will become the mad scientist making those juices even more £££ saved way most of us will eventually look at it ,you spend x amount on vaping stuff yes bank balance does dip a bit,but look at it this way later if you decide to quit vaping or start upgrading you can sell bits you dont want, where as before all you had was apile of ash and butts that cost you X amount and you launched it into the bin oh word of warning!!!!!! if you used to eat hot spicey food, wait till taste buds come back!!! boom blow your head off its a lot hotter than you remember, and the joys of smell return yes diesel and petrol fumes smell like armani ok really mean something else lol Enjoy and welcome to the madhouse of AAEC,i belong to a few Vape forums and this is one of the most friendly down to earth ones i know of
