I don't know where to start really. I watched Lordy's video that Super-Shiny supplied, which I personally found brilliant. So if I order this www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/product/mixing%20kit does this have the distilled water in the pg or vg that I need? Would it be better to put a kit together myself, if so what do I need for a beginner? I am excited but at the same time crapping myself and need my hand holding to I get going. I have no pc, only a pad so am gutted not to be able to use the programme Lordy showed. I down loaded a google app but can't really seem to get the figures right. Probably will have to loan the girls pc's to do liquid stuff. Don't know where to start really, anyone fancy free bed and board and move in for a week to get me going?..lol

Heya Siffy, The details of the kit do not specify distilled water so I recon it's not in there... I've started off mixing my stuff with high nicotine content VG and then adding some pg etc to down the nicotine content and that was a hassle from time to time If at this moment, that would be too big a step for you, (and as you mentioned you don't have a good mixing application available for you) I would suggest buying the below: Premixed base liquid at your nicotine strength Some 5/10/30 ml bottles (test batch/normal batch/bulk batch) Some syringes with needles (just go to your local chemist) Some food flavoring And then just start with your base mix which is already prepared and add a % of flavoring until you get what you like. It will at least be exiting enough and you'll learn the basics. Later on you can just buy all the base components and go all mad scientist on yourself

So do I need the distilled water? Am confused as it's says it's a kit so does it not have everything I need in it? The nicotine says its in vg but that's not water is it? Sorry, I hope I don't get on everyones nerves but I really don't get it just yet.

You don't "need" distilled water... I vaped PG/VG without distilled water and PG/VG mixes that have distilled water. I recon it's only to thin the liquid a bit? (not entirely sure).
But if you want to go with the kit, then I would say: Go for it and start your adventure ^^

I started with th alchemist kit. I grabbed some extra flavours and away i went. I have never used distilled water but i know some people do. The alchemist kit is a great starting point as as it is 72mg the nicotine goes further. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

siffy what % pg and vg do you normally vape? In pg or high pg mixes water isn't necessary at all. The vg nic base I have is definitely runny enough, and I wouldn't add any water to compensate for it. Pure VG needs 5-10% water added. (some brands add the water for you, I think inawera does, so check the label) I highly recommend pipettes over syringes, because they are easier to use (you can hold the bottle still with the other hand) I was terrified of mixing my own until I tried it. Then I realised it wasn't nearly as complicated and difficult as I imagined. Go for it girl

I wrote lots of notes when watching the tutorial video you see and wrote down AG distilled water. I have obviously confused myself already (only the start..lol) I will order the kit on Friday, thanks ever so much.

siffy I've never used distilled water in a mix yet. It's only used to thin down thick VG, but as I tend to mix at 70/30 or 60/40 (PG/VG) the VG is thinned by the other ingredients. VG is usually sold as 'aqueous VG' which means it's already had a little water added.

I am however on an egg custard tart one I purchased and am liking that. So I would say 70/30 to 50/50 is probably my thing. Thanks for trying to help me, I need all the help I can get. Must nip to the supermarket so if you do reply again please don't don't think I'm being rude if I don't vrespond staright away, will catch up when I get back. Hate ruddy food shopping :-(

First of all thanks Karma for all the links and info. dinamic22 I have still got my email but truthfully I wasn't overly keen on their pre made juice and just thought if I used their base that hint I tasted in the back ground would spoil it for me.
