Rubbery or Burnt Taste?

Got a new Clearo or tank and find that it tastes rubbery or burnt?

Protank/Evod heads are notorious for this.


Before using any Clearo or Tank wash it in a mild washing up liquid solution, leave it to soak for about fifteen minutes, then rinse it thoroughly in warm water and leave to dry for no less than 12 hours.


Now, when you use it for the first time it should vape well without the Rubbery/Burnt taste.


For myself, I never use new Clearo/Tanks without first giving them a good clean. Works for me.

I have to say that I have never washed out my Evods before using them ??? Maybe my taste buds are totally shot to bits

I think you are okay ......

In tests, only some people detect the Burnt/Rubbery taste, most don't notice it at all.

This makes sense, as taste is very subjective.

I've found it depends where you buy them from Bazzer, if that's any consolation . . . the genuine heads I've never had a ' taste ' from. The ones from our friends at FT I always leave in a bicarb solution overnight and leave to dry thoroughly, otherwise they do have a bit of a taint .

 Well most of mine come from that "place" that not a lot of peeps approve of for vaping stuff .....starts with "E" and ends with "Y"

Just had this with a Protank II from focalecig's group buy (which turned up today), it's now drained, dismantled and soaking in denture tab overnight.

another thought, is it worth dry-burning also prior to use ??
