Don't think it will be anything to do with AAEC, do you get it with other sites. Sounds like something on your device, regardless of which site your browsing. I also wouldn't advise going to 'easy slags'

I think it must be something to do with the site, as several people are getting the same problem all of a sudden - but you may be right, it just seems strange that it's happening to multiple users. 

I'm going to clear my history and cache on my phone and see if it happens again. As I mentioned, it's only happened the once so I may not be the best person to test it.

Hope you don't mind me saying Chrissie, but Mobile/Android users may well need the android Malaware version to be compatible with their devices . . .

Second from last message on the link you provided: 'As has been said more than once in this thread, if you have not jailbroken your device you have nothing to worry about.'

My iPhone isn't jailbroken, bog standard ios7.03 which is not jail breakable anyway, (latest version).

Perhaps it's something wrong with pro boards and soon enough reports will filter through to them, seems like there are a few of us having the same thing. Would be good to find out if everyone else with problems is on an iPhone too and what version of iOS they are on - to help you if you need to report it to pro boards.

We don't all get an identical malware attack when browsing the site with a mobile device and you don't get malware on iOS devices - the OS is locked down too tight

There's an issue with the mobile skin - really needs investigating and not brushing off guys

for apple users go into settings then safari and then turn on block pop ups and see if that helps as it was happening on my ipad when the kids were browsing and nothing to do with this site ,since then local slags has not popped up on phone or ipad

Block popups is already selected on my iphone, I assume it is set that way by default.

I agree with a1laserboy and dreamylittledream - I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the mobile skin as I've only had it on my phone (iPhone running the last version of ios6).

I'm not technically minded enough to know for sure, but you mention recent server attacks in this thread - is if possible one of them got through and left something nasty behind? It's definitely worth letting the central proboards admin know!
