Oh would also recommend getting your juice in 50/50 just incase, like some of us , you have a sensitivity to pg. Wasn't sure about this so went 60/40. Not sure what my original mix is but my wife struggles to inhale it without coughing, what ratio would you recommend for her ? Your wife may also find if she alters her inhaling technique slightly, then that could also help to avoid the splutters Greg . . . I have a few ' chugs ' then hold the vapour in my mouth for just a few seconds, before inhaling/exhaling. It works better for me, than drawing as I would have done on a ciggy. Vapour rings are definitely out of my league though.

However I let here have a shot of mine and she found that much better and no coughing even though we both have the same strength of 1.8% Ive no ordered lots of samples from joose juice at 50/50 and 12mg so hopefully these will be a bit smoother for her.

She may find it takes a little practice Greg, if you've smoked for a while then it's automatic almost how you take a drag . . . you could also pick up a small bottle of Vegetable Glycerine from the Bakery aisle in most large supermarkets. Add a dash of that to the PG mixes, which will help soften the throat hit a bit. Although that will dilute the nicotine strength and flavour a little if you do . . . but it might make them a bit more vapeable for your good lady.

Thanks for the tip, I'll pick some up next time I'm in tesco, she's desperate to get off the ciggies so we will persevere together until we crack it.

I'm sure having each other for moral support will be a big help Greg, good luck to you both. But, if either of you has an an overwhelming urge for a ciggy, then don't beat yourselves up if you do. It took me a few weeks to be completely ciggy free, getting past the first one of the day was my hardest habit to change. Not all of us make the transition overnight and shouldn't feel guilty if we don't.

Thanks for all the advice. My evods are coming today but I nipped in ecigs Scotland yesterday and picked up a spare Evod clearomiser due to impatience and also to get some weaker ejuice. So the good bit is i got some 11mg orange 50/50 and my wife is cough free and likes it. Next the stupid bit, I tried to change the battery later and learnt how not to do it with an Evod, my hands smelt lovely and orangey for ages The not so good, it seems to leak unlike the Ce4, both in use (you can feel a slight residue on handsand on the battery terminal plus I now have a burnt taste, I may have let the juice get too low. Once burnt do I need to change the head ? I also think my wife will struggle changing batteries without covering here's elf in juice, so I'm sure after some teething issues I'll be fine with the Evod and for now I'll make sure my wife has two fully charged and juiced evods before I go to work I'm wondering. if there would be an alternative clearomiser for her that would be less susceptible to coming apart when changing batteries than the Evod. Sorry for all the questions, still no fags and once I set my wife up tonight I'm hoping she will make some progress too.

How about glassomisers, I like the sound of them VV = Variable Voltage VW = Variable Wattage Essentially they're devices/batteries where you can alter the power setting Greg . . . the Spinner is a popular choice of VV battery: myepack.co.uk/vision-spinner-1300-mah.htmlHaving that control, means you can tailor your vaping to suit your individual needs and style. Glassomizers are a bottom coil clearo, similar to your Evod but with a glass tank, so you can use eliquids that are polycarbonate tank crackers without worry. You're really embracing vaping, I can tell.

Blackjack everywhere. So evod leaking. If you filled it straight from the shop you may find something was not quite tightened down correctly. Burnt taste could be all sorts of things. Best bet would be to strip it all down. Give it all a good rinse and while it is drying have a read of this allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/22461/evod-tips-tricksI agree with Perpetua about the iclear 16. It will out perform the evod imo and i have never had one leak on me yet. The heads seem to go on forever on them as long as give them a clean once a week and it fills the same way as a ce4. I have just done a little review on the new v2 version of the iclear 16 here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/31445/review-new-innokin-iclear16-v2 Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

Oh I'm definitely embracing, if I do something it's never in a half hearted way. If you decide to try something why would you not want to do it right Thanks all for the Evod tips, I'll give that a read and see if I can resolve issues . I feel obligated to give them a chance but know glass is only a matter of time, and by time I'm thinking days not weeks

I'm learning (very quickly) now to grip the clearomiser by the chrome collar while unscrewing the battery Congrats on "still no fags"

Hi & Greg sorry its a late welcome, i use the Davide mini all the time which is a bottom coil clearo & a good tip for any bottom coil clearo is to tip the ecig upside down when filling or taking batteries off the clearo, then unscrew the battery or base or whatever you are taking apart from the top without any spills etc. Also any juices you do not like initially do not get rid of as your tastebuds change so quick that what you hate this week may be your favourite in a months time. This is a juice that quite a few of us like at the moment its a bit more expensive than some others but worth it. t-juice.com/red-astaire.html.

Hello peeps, an update on our progress and experience so far. Firstly and most importantly I received our 4 Evods yesterday and charged and filled two for my wife. She took to them great and today instead of 20+ has only had two fags. I think I've found my issue with the intermittent burnt taste with the Evod, took all day to Suss it but obvious in hind sight. I've discovered if you accidentally cover one of the 3 Evod air holes with your finger you run a little rich Evod leaking and constantly finding liquid on battery connection, note this was with the Mirage battery- not sure if the connectors between batteries are different but since using the Evod battery with my original Evod clearo, no leaks to be seen anywhere. I'm really enjoying the orange juice and now questioning why I chosse tobacco flavour originally So what's the best thing about the experience so far apart from the savings in the pocket & loss of stinky breath ? Without a doubt the ability to have a "smoke" in the car when it's torrential outside without having to crack thwindow and having rain dribble down your leg Many thanks to all contributors to this thread, you made progress very smooth and although I've made some mistakes there's no doubt I'd have made many more without the fantastic advice from you all
