and good luck to you and your wife becoming a vaper and not a smoker. Once you find your right setup and juice it really is a doddle ( I smoked for 45 years ) . I'm sure you'll be fine with the kits that the very helpful people on here have put forward. One thing I would add is to get some fruit menthol in. You won't have to wait for it to steep and taste buds have a funny way of going AWOL when you first start. Menthol is a great way to keep the ciggies away when you can't taste anything. Probably like most of us you hated menthol ciggies...but give it a try...3 of my friends have given up completely with lemon menthol/ apple menthol etc. as did I and we all hated menthol ciggies with a passion. I've smoked menthol in the past, a long time ago, so although not something I'd buy I would have smoked if that's all I had. I've ordered 10ml menthol along with some alcohol testers plus 30ml of cig flavoured black gold I hated menthol fags when i smoked but menthol e juice is gorgeous. Same as liquorice, hate the food version of it but dam the e juice is amazing.

Oh would also recommend getting your juice in 50/50 just incase, like some of us , you have a sensitivity to pg. Wasn't sure about this so went 60/40. Not sure what my original mix is but my wife struggles to inhale it without coughing, what ratio would you recommend for her ? More pg content = more throat hit and a bit more flavour and more vg content = more vapour and less throat hit but has a sweetness to it that adds to the e juice. I vape 60/40 but is just trial and error on which is good for you.

The same thing happened to two of my friends....the 50/50 mix on fruit menthol sorted it for them...after a while they were able to move onto any other juice ( stuck to 50/50 though ) without coughing their little hearts out.

Hi Greg, welcome and good luck to both you and your wife as you start this journey. There's lots of good advice above and you are in good hands - all I will add is that it takes a little time to find out what works for you. That means you need to experiment a bit at the start, don't let it put either of you off if you don't like a juice or if a clearo doesn't work as you'd like - there's a ton of options out there.

If ecigs scotland is handy I'd go in there and see if they'd let you try an evod. If they wouldn't, I might buy one anyway, fill it with juice there and then, see if you like it, and if so buy another and some heads for it and another battery. You might do a little cheaper on-line, but their prices aren't bad, you save postage, and bricks and mortar shops deserve some support. If you prefer the CE4 to the evod then you'd almost certainly prefer an iclear to either of them (CE4 and iclear are both top coil, gives a warmer vape; iclear is dual coil, which makes more vapour than the CE4, so more taste). ecigs scotland doesn't seem to do them but there are lots of on-line suppliers - www.whitefog.co.uk/en/innokin-clearomizers/351-innokin-clearomizer-iclear-16.html for instance

Many thanks to all, I like the idea of variable voltage but maybe that's something to work towards when I have a bit more knowledge and experience. evod seems to be frequently recommended so I'm going to go for two of these kits I think :- www.ukecigcabin.com/product/evod-kit-1000Great choice gregb, sadie at ukecigcabin is great, super fast delivery and will help you in any way she can. Don't forget the discount code when you order AAEC for 5% off your order. Other discount codes here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/301/discount-codesHi rosco, tried to place an order but having some technical issues as I refuse to use PayPal anymore and it won't let me enter card details directly I suspect because my card is linked to PayPal but I haven't reauthorised it. Are there options to contact sadie directly to arrange payment ?

She is normally super fast in sorting stuff out, use the contact page on the website first as she is not always online here.

Cheers I've dropped Sadie a message. Rosco, how very true . I spoke with a lady called Toni. She took my Order over the phone, emailed the order back to me with bank details for me to pay by bank transfer. I also received discount and free items which reduced my original web basket by all but £20 plus free next day recorded delivery. Thats astounding service, I'll certainly be using ukecigcabin again.
