Hello all,
Im new to the allabout e-cigarettes website. I have been vaping away for 2 years now I have tried 2 different e-cig's. Im currently using the eGo-V e cig with CE5 atomisers from Scan.co.uk im very dissatisfied. when it works its great but there is often problems with the firing pin and the connection between battery and atomiser. Im tired of having to continually tinker with it. Therefore I am on this forum asking for advise, Could you fine folk please suggest some brands to me to explore and research before I purchase a new e-cig.
Kind Regards, Adam

Hi wardy and welcome to AAEC. Depends which route you want to go down. You have the ego style batteries similar to what you are using, you have something like a Vision Spinner which is a variable voltage ego style and then you can go up to the bigger mods which have variable voltage and variable wattage.

Hi wardy and welcome to AAEC! As mentioned above there are various options. If you could tell us a bit more about your previous smoking habits, and the sort of thing you want for the future, this would help us to help you. If you were a heavy smoker (20pd or more), then the option to crank up the voltage to give you more hit in times of stress may be appealing. If you are considering recoiling your own heads (very easy, especially with the help and advice available here!), then a Variable Voltage (VV) or Variable Wattage(VW) mod (which is essentially a big battery holder with some electronics to do the aforementioned) would be an idea, although these are considerably bigger in your hand. If however you want something a bit more discreet but with more punch than a standard eGo battery, then the Spinner option might be a useful halfway house. Of course there is also the excellent product linked by Chrissie, and I can personally vouch for Myepack - ordered some kit on Thursday evening, and it arrived this morning in rural Cornwall. It does sound to me that the part of the clearomiser which is meeting the battery's centre pin is forcing it down. You could consider buying an iClear 16 from HERE to see if this solves the problem first before commiting more cash to more expensive options.

wardyBattery - relatively cheap and small variable volt is the spinner Big, powerful, better features - most popular may be the vamo If you want to go this route tell us, and we can advise on batteries to put in it. Clearomiser - there are several usually reckoned to be better than the CE5. Favourites at the moment are probably the protank and the iclear Evod is also popular I use a vamo at home and a spinner for out-and about. All the above are available from lots of places, and the links above won't necessarily be the cheapest at the moment.

Welcome. I am mightily unhappy with SCAN. They were a trusted computer vendor and have completely lost their way with e-cigs. All of it is unmitigated rubbish. I asked them to remove me from the email mail-shots... didn't happen. Now, they can enjoy not having my business which was comfortably into the £1,000s every year. Bad luck, if you've done two years, then huge congratulations are in order. Shop at a good e-cig vendor and you'll get back on track.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes and great advise.
Ill be sure to research and look into your suggestions further and ask more questions when I need to!
Just to add some information about myself, I used to be a 20 a day smoker but after buying my first e-cig I have never looked back. I liked the strong hit which came with my variable voltage eGo battery but I am a complete amateur when it comes to my knowledge of e-cig's so I will be keenly reading up on the items in this forum.
Thanks again!

Sorry if this comes up twice, I replied but nothing happened After reading up on a number of items on our forum as well as watching video reviews online ive narrowed my decision down to the following options. Innokin SVD or MVP iclear30 clearomiser The question I had goes with my previous problem with the battery firing pin, is this a problem that I can have again with the above batteries with the clearomiser? Kind Regards, Adam
