What you cooking for Christmas?

Christmas day:

Turkey with butter rubbed under the skin with sausage and chestnut stuffing and cooked upside down (Upside down is a must).

Boxing day:

Gammon with all the other things you have to do to it slowly cooked in Coca Cola (not the cheap stuff)

Yom bloody Yom

Breakfast... Toast

Dinner... Cheese On Toast

Supper... Whatever's left

OK it's a joke... but Super-Shiny, you've hit a nerve, and I hate this time of year with a passion.

When I was a kid it was great, everyone so happy and showering (inexpensive gifts) around us. Really happy times.

But... we've all grown up now, and it's all about who can make the most money from it. It is so far from the original, and if you believe it, the truth.

Sorry to bring a downer on it, but that's how I feel.

Dinner will be a turducken wiv all the trimmings! Gammon too, as it's needed for the Boxing day cold cuts, bubble & squeak, baked beans & pickles. lol

I'm going out for Christmas Dinner!

When me and Kathy get back from visiting our families we'll have a quiet little "post Christmas dinner" that I will cook which will be fillet steak beef wellington plus the usual roast and veg accompaniements followed by Christmas Pud and Cornish (Rodda's) Clotted Cream washed down with some nice Prosecco or Cava and then (probably) lots of wine.
