Oh I should mention I may be closed at 12 on Thursday, this week. My wife Has a hospital appointment (but it may get cancelled) Apart from that I am open every day now until x-mas. Oh i hope all goes well for your wife... I'll be seeing you probably Friday then, for another battery and stuff! (I will learn one day what all of this is about, but what I've got is working so i don't really care!)

Something that I have noticed since I've been dipping in and out of the vaping world, and that is; I don't need my inhalers anywhere near as much! Guess it's a win win situation

I can masturbate faster if that counts +1. Less burns too.

It's nice to not be coughing so hard as to get spots before the eyes... one big change when I stopped using stinkies, was I started to dream again! After years of hardly ever dreaming at night. It was very weird to start with.

Not done anything remarkable as such tigerlilly . . . losing my horrible smokers cough is lovely though and my recovery time if I get a cold is hugely better. I used to smoke come hell or high water so they always turned to infections of some sort. Now they're gone in under a week, rather than a month. Same for me. I still get out of breath but then I'm still as unfit as I always was. I have noticed the sharp pain in my chest has gone when I walk any distance so that's a big improvement and I don't hack up phlegm and gunk every morning. In fact I've barely coughed in the past year, even to clear my throat!

Might just be a coincidence but since cutting down the stinkies to now stopping completely I haven't had a nasty cold. Last year I was ill all of the winter with coughs, colds and chest infections. The joys of working in childcare. Loads of bugs go round

The only thing I have not had done to completely rid my house of stale smoke is, the carpets need cleaning. They are coming on Friday morning, so I will be totally free of all stale smoke smells.

I haven't smoked 'properly' indoors (where other people were) for a few years now, but I did have my own smoking room (spare bedroom, with all windows wide open - even at -5!!!) and I did used to sit or stand at the back door to have a ciggie if no-one else was in. I'm getting my furniture cleaned next week and today I've blitzed the Yankee candle counter at our local garden centre with the money I've already save! Woo-hoo...All exciting stuff. But I'm so in awe of everyone on here when I look at their tickers and see how long they have been without the 'stinkies' and HOW MUCH MONEY they have saved! Wow... Also, and the best thing after just 4 days is my mouth is healing and that is a mini miracle!

Man reading this thread I can totally relate to everything (apart from the high speed masturbating and hanging towels), all the rattly lungs, out of breath, just general unwell feelings. My doc told me that now I've hit 40 that smoking tends to have a bigger impact as in you feel the negative effects more and there's no doubt in my mind they're right.

Yes, the general unwell feelings...that is something else. The lack of enthusiasm to do anything? The lack of energy? The feeling of being...finished? Thanks goodness for this forum. It's helped so much and so has everyone's honesty. Thank you.

Breath better, sleep better, more energy, smell better(myself as well), taste better, skin better, no coughing at all, no tight chest, less snoring(the Mrs...lol...we both quit the cigs), more money(well...spent on vaping stuff!) feel better about not getting cancer, no smoke in eyes, no fag ash, no ash trays, no bits of baccy in keyboard or belly button, no stale smoke smell in the morning, don't almost pass out first after first drag of a cig in the morning(now its Snake Oil fizz on my tongue...yum), don't wake in the night and want a cig. Errrr...thats all i can think of right now... or to sum up......

Well, I'm about 4 months in. The rattle has gone. I noticed it occasionally, but the wife more-so. I do feel out of breath less, so that's also a bonus.
I can also taste food better, which is great sometimes, not so much other times. The bland-ness of food was occasionally a life-saver.
I now no longer go to bed reeking of smoke, but depending on what I'm vaping just before bed, the wife will either like it, or REALLY hate it. She doesn't like minty the toff for example. Booooooo. She aint too bad with Mojito Madness though, so that's fine.
I'll tell you what is weird though, people leaving the house to smoke now. Now I only ever smoked in my garage and man-cave, as they were separated from the rest of the house by a big fire door, so little smoke came through. But guests are starting to go outside to smoke, even although I have expressly told them that I couldn't care less, and to just crack on as before. But as it's a smoke free household now, they do feel compelled. Weird.
I do try to vape away from the little one though. The only time I do on purpose is in the car, but she is usually asleep then. So I still go down to the mancave to vape while she is awake. But she does come in to see what I'm up to, and to demand the cloudbabies on my computer while I'm here. Even at 17 months she is proper switched on though. She occasionally sees me taking a toot, and I have already caught her lifting my SID up to her mouth. Scary indeed. So when she pops in, they all have to get ditched on a high shelf.
Still, at least it's an ecig she is trying to toot on, and not a real cig. Still little comfort though.

Yes it is a problem with children around xs2man. Yesterday I was looking after my 19 month old great grandson, he was looking at me quizzically whilst I was vaping,(no-one else in the family smokes),I decided there and then that I would put all my vaping stuff out of sight, and resolved never to vape when he is here. Vaping may be better than smoking but, we don't want to encourage it in children do we.
