MVP issue

I don't think I've got a single 510 tank that actually works on an MVP because of the deep threading on the MVP.
I have to use an 510 adaptor then you get something that looks like this /sad panda.

Only thing that worked for me was to pry the center pin up a little bit at a time (gently)

Had protanks/iclears etc that worked one ady and stopped the next. Fiddle with a knife on the pin or the tank post and it worked again.

This is my biggest gripe with the MVP as well. It seems to be worse with the v2 than it ever was with the v1.

MVP v2 and no probs with protank 2-3, iclear30, iclear30S and a Kayfun.

Same here with iClear 16,30, 30s, mini vivi, and protank.. No issues with any.

I gave my MPV, along with all my iclear16s, to my grandson when I found that the bugga wouldn't fire any of my other atties (Aspires, Scuba tank/Diver, iAtty and 306 drippers) no matter how much 510 pin raising I performed .... seems that it was designed specifically for Innokin clearos as all my iclear16s and 30s had always worked fine.

No issues with my MVP1 Kibbs . . . that does look a little ahem . . . unusual.


It's a shame that there isn't a shorty 510 to 510 adapter as there is for 510/901.

My mvp 2 and protank 2 seems to be problem free apart from when I first got it and didn't screw the coil in lol

I haven't had any problems at all with iclears (16 or 30), protanks, aspires or smok aros. I still love my MVP2 (and it can charge my phone when I've forgotten!)

MVP 1 and protank 2 works fine, whatever you have there will always be something that doesn't work with it, but as said the v2 may have a deeper conector?

My Aspire won't work in my MVP1 or 2.
My Davides wouldn't either, I had to use my Evic or Itaste for them.
I just use Ego stuff on the MVPs now becuase it's too long and wonky with the 510 adaptor.

All 3 of my Aspires have a recessed centre pin kibbster and like yourself, I use them on my eVics  ... just couldn't get any joy with the MVP no matter how much I fiddled about with the 510 pin

Not had any problems with any of our first batch of MVP 2's. We would have heard about it too. 90% of our SVD's were returned because of the button going soft.

on my own MVP 2 I have to have the collar unscrewed a little, otherwise my Pro Tank 2 would force the pin down.

I'd recommend any new MVP user do the same. With your collar / beauty ring already in place... Screw on your tank until you feel that slight resistance, when you know the 2 posts have made contact. then unscrew your collar / beauty ring until it is flush with your tank, in order to stop your tank screwing on further and forcing down the post on the MVP.

You could always just file down the connector by 1mm or so.
