I seem to get through loads of them. I've tried sterilising them etc but they are never as good as new. I think they're expensive to keep buying new ones at about £7 for five so I'm wondering.... Is there something better out there now? Is there a unit I can get which has coils that last longer than the Evods? Do you all have the same expensive problem? I DID, but am weaning myself onto iClears, small and large. I would never get even a week from an evod/protank head. I threw away (finally) a 6 month old iClear16 head only yesterday. Sure, I'd dry burned it a few times and lost the complete clearo for 10 days and it never had tobacco or heavy juice...but just refused to stop!! I marginally prefer the Protank vape, but when I started on them, I thought they were airy. It's worth getting used to iClears (over the next month maybe) just to save me ordering heads every other week from myepack.

I think it's just the drip tip that's updated Mmm.. I'm wondering now. If it is just the drip tip that has changed. Could it be that the new ones don't get as warm? I know it hasn't been an issue for everyone. But I seriously dislike the 16's for that specific reason. I'm probably just biased but it just seems like Innokin react quicker to customer feedback. Only speculation until someone can confirm of course and maybe in fact they get just as warm and are just slightly a different shape. Time will tell.

I expect my Evod heads to last about a week, still much cheaper than when I smoked. The iClear16 and Evod are different beasts, I prefer the Evod because you I get more flavour with a bottom coil but iClear heads do outlast Evods by a long way. My Avatar was me with a new 1.8ohm Evod Horses for courses, if you like top coil the iclear16 is hard to beat, if you like bottom coil then the Evod is cheap and easy as well as a damn good vape.

Well after reading these posts my evod must be a record breaker.........it has not had a change for 5 weeks tomorrow It has NEVER been dry burnt, no maintenance at all and it is still going strong, vaping mostly menthol juice.

That is hell of a record! It must all depend on the juice you use, how long you are vaping (as in between inhales... do you inhale and then quickly inhale again?) Also I heard it depends on the coil head Ohm. The higher it is the longer the coil lasts? I heard about these few somewhere.

Any sweetener whether it's added or already in a flavouring will caramelize when it's heated and clog a coil.

I have two bottles of e-juice from joojuice and thats 70pg and 30vg and the liquid is a lot less concentrated than the dekang juices from myepack. It also appears to be clearer so I am going to use it in few days and see what it feels like.

Try an overnight soak in isopropyl alcohol ask your local chemist to order some or look on eBay.

All these things are temporary fixes though molly . . . it's easy to forget that alot of our gear was designed as a disposable item and I think sometimes we expect too much of it in the longevity stakes and have a less than enjoyable vape as a result. If a pack of 20 cigs lasted me until the afternoon, I'd think I'd done well. £8 whatever a pop now - a pack of 5 Evod heads at £7 doesn't seem so extravagant in the scheme of things.

I used an old coil head yesterday that I cleaned and dry burned but it still had burning taste. I might give up on the cleaning for now and just order more coil heads. I will definitely keep the used ones in case if I decide to rewick them in the future.
