I sold my svd BUT if I remember correctly, that piece of advice was to clear the memory of data concerning the charge state of the old battery when changing batteries ... NOT when replacing 18650 with 2 x 18350. Nah it's quite specific, "Note: Before you make a switch between one battery and two batteries, please hold the (power button symbol) button for 5 seconds to release the capacitance in the mainboard. (when you make a switch from one battery to two batteries, the mainboard will keep the one battery settings if you haven't released the remaining capacity; and vice versa." That's what t says LOL ... up to you mate ... at the end of the day it's your face that will get the injury, not some Innokin executive's

It was brought as a kit with 2 18350 batteries & is only designed for that, therefore when I put in 1 x 18650 it see's this as being very low power and refuses to work It was first mod I got HERE a Veri Stack VZ6 That seems to be very similar to the one that Karma posted about earlier. For the sake of a few quid I would ditch it mate ... I would hate to see that twinkle in your eye replaced with a gaping hole I haven't used it for months, like I said it was first mod I got. I was more pointing out some mods are made to use stacked batteries. I have more than enough mods to keep me busy

Then again, I'm typing this on a laptop powered by stacked 18650s. My first mod used stacked 18650s - garrydibley vv tin mod. I used imr batteries, always used as a pair, charged as a pair (so that one was never charging the other). I reckon it was pretty safe. Also unlikely to damage me if a battery did explode because of the construction - the lid would blow open, but take most of the force. But it would be a bit exciting I guess.

But it would be a bit exciting I guess. not stacked, in parallel True, of both the laptop and the tin mod, but I'm not sure it makes a lot of difference to the risk of explosion, which I think is about one draining fast into another. And alansi is also right - laptops do sometimes explode. But I'd go with P. Busardo: " Try not to stack, but if you MUST… 1) use protected batteries (unless your device doesn’t like protected batteries then see the following points), 2) use a fuse such as the 2 Cents For Safety if your device doesn’t have built in protection, 3) use a like pair, 4) your like pair should have been purchased at the same time… they are married. They like to be together and spend all their time together. So they want to be discharged (in the device) and charged (on the charger) together. Never stack unlike batteries, or like batteries of unknown condition." I'm actually aware of only two explosions of ecigs while in use - one reported here (which had stacked batteries) and that bloke in Florida (we still don't know what he was doing). I'm sure there are more, but I doubt if there are a lot. Whereas we know of a fair number exploding while being charged (plus a lot of laptops). These days I avoid stacking, but then I wouldn't use a pass-through either - I don't need to, so I don't. But if someone only has a mod which only takes them stacked, and the construction is sensible, the batteries are good and always treated identically, then I think it is probably safe compared to, for instance, smoking, and I don't know that I'm happy telling someone that they have to throw it away. I do advise people not to stack batteries in Vamos and SVDs, because they don't need to.

TESLA motors, in their newer models, use 8000 of the panny 18650A batteries,in series and parallel,so they are "stacked" . Recently there has been a spate of Tesla cars catching fire , some after accidents. What does this say with regards to this thread ? well, nothing actually ! just wanted to mention the fact that Tesla cars can be used for vaping, if you stick a clearo on it
