So there I was amongst the manic frenzied shoppers and thought sod it il give it a go ! Pulled out my 1300 vision spinner topped with a drip tip adapter and a multi coloured fancy casbah style drip tip ( a lovely sight to behold ! ) vaping nonchalantly round the store .. Up and down the escalater etc ! No one uttered a word although one old lady asked me what on earth that contraption !! She said my home made red smelled lovely

I normally wouldn't vape where it's never been permitted to smoke but I'll let you off jaysey I need to brave Sainsburys tomorrow for some fresh veg and wine, not looking forward to it. I'll be opening the wine and slugging it out the bottle while vaping 36mg standing in the long queue

Yes it was very busy, but queues weren't too bad considering the volumes.

Well if there is not a sign up saying no vaping then........... Honestly, I hate stealth vaping, it makes me feel I am back at school behind the bike sheds. Or was that something else.....

Braved our local Tesco Extra to do our Christmas shop, and ended up queuing for a checkout in, wait for it, the wine aisle!!!! How cruel is that!!!! Still, I managed a stealth vape (I even was foresighted enough to charge up an old eGo 650 and an iClear 16 with 18mg Menthol), and no-one batted an eyelid. Two positives from this shopping expedition - we saved £126 by cashing in all our Clubcard points for the year, and I persuaded the missus that I really ought to buy a litre of Scotch for the cupboard - that'll keep me going throughout the dark cold January nights, if there's anything left after the festivities!

Your ASDA has an escalator! I'm going there. I often go to Tesco in Telford just to ride the magic stairs. (and to visit homebargains...) (and MacDonalds) (and the American Golf shop) I don't even like Tesco.

Ah yes, Raffles, but that's after the 2 wineboxes each we bought too!! Plus the bottle of Port that I get each year from my BIL and a couple of bottles of good Australian Shiraz I have had from schools/parents in the last 2 weeks. I'm taxiing on Christmas Day, so that will be a dry day, I'll make up for it on other nights! My daughter's going straight from work tonight to a sleepover and as I was on late turn last night at 12.30am, my OH has gone out just a few minutes ago to take her the 15 miles through the lanes (no m'ways down here LOL), so I have a nice Shiraz to tuck into with my cheese, cold meats and crackers while watching the new TV - might just have to test out the iPlayer and do some catching up

Just to add: why do daughters decide to make friends with peers who live so bleddy far away, and in inaccessible places!? We live close to the largest conurbation (thank you, 'O' Level Geography!) in Cornwall, yet she decides her best Physics class mate will be the one who lives in St Martin in Meneage - go on, fire up Google Earth and have a look. It's only about 15 miles but at this time of night will easily take 45 mins each way, and mostly on windy B roads and then into narrow single-track lanes with passing places. Grrr

Grrr Andy, don't know about daughters, but I grew up in rural Somerset and all seemed normal until I went back about 20 years ago for my Dad's funeral, and I couldn't believe how I used to zoom around those lanes in my little sporty Ford Anglia. I did a bit of reminiscing and drove around the old haunts from my youth, and there were some places I couldn't even get to in my Volvo tank. Did bring back many happy memories though... Why do we have to grow up ???

I went to sainsburys this morning for the big Christmas shop, I got there before it opened as I thought it would be ok first thing. How wrong can you be. I was queuing to get vegetables, let alone to pay for my shopping. A job that usually takes my 30 minutes took 2 and a half hours, including an hour from joining the checkout queue to leaving with my shopping. Total insanity. I used to work in a sainsburys as a student through Xmas and I can never remember it being like that.
I'd left my evic in the car, boy did I take a moment when I got back to it!

I'll need to open a box of wine at the checkout

I sent my niece to get the xmas booze. I said I don't think I can cope with the queues :-)
Bonus she even paid for my beer as an extra treat for Christmas. More Shiny's for me from what I saved - yippee
