Hi,
I have been using my protank 2 and MVP for a while now and i love it. However i've had 2 problems:
1) MVP reads NON for resistance 2) Protank 2 leaks
1) I've read a few threads and it says to pull the contact pin up on the MVP. But when i change the coil for another protank 2 coil, it recognises it straight away, so im not sure what the problem is
2) i've been using a single protank 2 coil fir 4 weeks and its been great. However i changed it for a new one and initially it was ok, but then it started leaking down to the battery and up through to the drip tip. Vape was significantly reduced. Tried 2 further new protank coils (along with opening and cleaning the tank) and the same problem arises. I then reverted back to the old coil (the 4 week old one) and its as good as gold.
Really confused as to whats happening. I would have thought a new coil would be good, but in this case old is gold!

With your old coil, probably from a different batch most likely just sits slightly highre than your new coils hence it not quite touching the battery pin of the MVP.
If all your new ones are leaking, then yuo may have a dodgy batch.
Are you putting the same amount of liquid in each time ? Protanks are known to leak when juice in the tank is low (below 1/3rd)

mob17 the 13th post down in this link should solve the problems with the Protank working. This tutorial by Super-Shiny will solve the problems with leaking/gurgling Protank. Griff

Yes when using a new coil i fill up to about 3/4.
You may be right about it being a dodgy batch, as they all came in a pack. Anything i can do? I bought them from myepack.

Does anyone have a valid explanation for that?

Thanks for the links I'm not sure what the PG % is, but the liquid works perfectly on my old coil. As soon as i use a new one, there is leakage withing 30 mins and just a horrible vape. I have repeatedly cleaned the coils and dry burned them, but they still end up leaking and not vaping properly Shall i just forget it and get a Protank 3?

For gurgling helps if you take the clearomizer from battery and shake it as an old mercury thermometer. This will get rid of condensation that accumulates in the tube. To prevent leaking you can change the flavor wick with a cotton, but only to fill the side holes.

When the perssure of the air is strong enough to force the juice out any small orrifice :-)

Am I right in suspecting that there is some sort of small vacuum pressure thing at work in the Protanks? When I unscrew the base on my PT v1s to refill, there is often a small 'pop' as the vacuum equalises around the silicone cap which sits on the centre pin. I wonder if the juice levels are too low, coupled with a small rise in that vacuum, which forces out the juice around the coil? If I ever get leaking problems, which is really rare, I pop a couple of STRANDS of silica wick under that centre pin; this seems to have the effect of preventing the leak. Hope this helps!

Does anyone have a valid explanation for that? I think it is due to the amount of air in the Evod when it gets a bit low. When it is high the air cant be stretched as much as when the Evod is very low. Very hard to explain lol. The air in the EVOD is acting like a vacuum, when it is low then then gravity has a greater effect on the liquid and it leads to more seepage. See my disclaimer below

Shall i just forget it and get a Protank 3? Or you could have a go at re-coiling the heads, Evods/Protanks are much of a muchness for doing that:
