Vaping and cars. My two main loves in life... So who's into their cars? Who has one, and more importantly; who spends loads of money on them making them look good and going like stink? Please tell me I'm not alone

Sorry octynik I won't be joining your club To me, a car is for getting from A to B without relying on public transport. A bit like vaping really, I just need what works! Enjoy your passions.

I have a Skoda So do I It's my pride and joy - Skodas are awesome cars That's my baby! I've done soooo much to it, it's running 270bhp and upsets balding men in Mercs when I put my foot down! Going for even more power this year Some people express their selves with tattoos, writing etc.. I express myself by modifying my car and it's an extension of my personality

Is that an Octavia VRSi or something ??? I Drive a Octavia Estade TDI 1.9 2004, mum's tank! It's got knocks and scratches and is basically a tip, but a great car, and it can move if you need it to. Hubby has a Fabia Diesel VRSi thingy watsit 1.9. It's a lot smarter than mine, probably cause I'm only allowed to drive it in emergencies

But, yes, they are now a very desirable motor.

When my hubby bought our first Skoda (when they had became desirable) he kept telling everyone that would listen how great it was, great this, great that, great the next thing. I had to use it one night, I came home and told him that I thought it was great too and it also had great bumpers yep, I backed it into a low wall It's no wonder he hates me driving his car

Thank you very much I'm 26. Skodas were god awful vehicles once upon a time, I'm very much into motoring history and although Skodas of old Communist Czechoslovakia were awful, in the awful stakes they weren't too far behind what we were doing with British Leyland and so on! Since Volkswagen bought them they have turned themselves round immeasurably, when I've worked on mine, and seen behind the scenes and stuff, everything has an Audi or a Volkswagen stamping on it and so on. It's done nearly 200 thousand miles now! The vRSs are *lovely* things, and the new petrol vRS is ridiculous, my brother has one and I drove it.. and it's pretty mental! It certainly keeps up with stuff like BMW 330s and that!!

It's a diesel, 2.0 140bhp (originally!) I have bigger fuel injectors, decat, stage three race turbo and so on, it can do 60mpg if i'm careful, or outpace BMW 535ds if I'm being stupid! I nearly sold it over xmas as I wanted a BMW 330 coupe but I'm so attached to it *blush*

Raffleshow do you double the value of a Skoda? fill the tank with petrol That takes me back a few years!

I think mine was originally 110bhp but the wee Fabia is 130 bhp, probably another reason I'm not allowed near it, it's a lot of horses to hit a wall with In all honesty though, mine really is built like a tank, there should be many more dents than there are forgive me if I have no idea about fuel injectors and decats though, I should probably but out now and leave the guys to this conversation, lol!

I like cars, but I have to settle for driving the fast ones virtually on Gran Turismo. I live near Brands Hatch so I get my fix watching and drooling I have a very sensible Hyundai i30 - to be honest I could get away with a pedal car on my way into London for work most days, it's a queue all the way in and a queue all the way out. I only passed my test a year ago - I didn't have the money to learn when I was young and then lived in London, so no need for a car. Now I'm out in the sticks it seemed like the right thing to do. I really want a little two seater soft top, just something cheap like a mx-5 or a mr-2 but we have a baby on the way so there's no way mrs ionian is going to go for it. Plus the ongoing spend on shiny vaping gear - maybe one day...
