I bought 3 mini davides for my wife but the vendor sent me 3 davides by mistake. Fantastic service from vendor who immediately sent out the mini davides, asked me to return the davides next day and they would reimburse postage. As I use amongst other things protank 2s and the davides are coil compatible I decided to keep the davides for myself rather than returning so arranged payment with the vendor. I stripped the davides down and cleaned then recoiled with micrcoil and cotton wool and was somewhat diss appointed they produced poor vapour quantity and were very airy compared to my protanks. I then noticed the davide drip tips have a significantly larger bore than the protank2 drip tips so I used the protank drip tip on the Davide and what a difference. So I'm happy davides and protank 2s vape consistently but now I need some protank equivalent drip tips, I'd prefer metal drip tips but when browsing drip tip bore diameter doesn't seem to be mentioned. Anyone advise suitable drip tips with a bore the same as protank 2s ? Also plastic or Pyrex equivalents welcome to as I'll likely need these also for the mini davides.

www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=70The first 10 or so on this page look like protank drip tips - they're plastic but will be ok. You could contact them to check, as they've always been very helpful with me. Alternatively, stick a wanted in the classies - many people use their own drip tips, so might have spare protank ones that you could have for a few pennies.

Ionian I like that second idea, let's give it a whirl and lets be honest even if I get two response saying poke it at least I'll have had a 200% increase. So anyone want to send me free drip tips or for next to nothing

The Protank 2/Davide should take any 510 drip tip so you won't be short on choice Greg . . . the problems arise as not all 510 DT's are necessarily equal, due to the somewhat random Chinese quality control. This you won't know until you buy and try.

If you have a Kayfun type atty you could try that tip, it has a 2mm bore at the top of the tip. I'm having some PTFE tips made with a narrow bore for those cold winter mornings when Stainless is too cold for the lips to take.

Perp, that wasthe point of my post, I was hoping others had experienced the same between protank and davide stock drip tis and could make recommendations based on their experience. I don't do china, I'm far too impatient although I realise many uk items come from china, what I do know is I have 6 protanks and 6 davides and the drip tip bores between the two are consistently different. I guess I'll have to just order a few and suck it and see

Greg, if you know what size bore you want and you have a drill press this will sort you out. Buy a meter of 4mm acrylic rod, clear or coloured it's up to you. Also buy a 4mm HSS drill bit and another drill bit to suit the bore you require, e.g. 1.5mm Drill out the drip tip to 4mm. Press fit and/or superglue the acrylic rod into the 4mm hole, then cut off. Drill the new bore at required size. Vape. The drill bit will make the hole slightly over-sized by 0.1 or 0.2mm that's why the glue is usually needed. I drill out to 3.5mm and use a burr or stone to achieve a real tight friction fit so no glue required. You can get an ok result without a drill press if you have a vice to hold the work but it's awkward. I've not found a manufactured bore over 4mm so I use 4mm rod and bit but make sure to check yours. Be careful with shaped drip tips not to compromise the outer wall, a smaller rod and bit may be required.
