Greetings Vapers! Over the past couple of months I've been using a pretty ghastly 10 Motives menthol stick to halve my tobacco consumption (quite an achievement after a 40-year habit) and I'm now looking to upgrade to more sophisticated kit in the hope it'll drive me to cut down even further. Perhaps you pro-vapers could help me decide what to buy? I'm looking for:- - Fluid capacity - I'd rather not need to refill during my working day (so I'm guessing over 1.6ml).
- Duel coil - I've read and watched plenty of reviews (plus thought through the physics of the process) and I'm sold on the "two coils better than one" idea.
- Airflow control - Phil Busardo's video convinced me that airflow is key to getting a rig working exactly as you want it.
- VV / VW battery with sufficient capacity to last me through the working day.
I'm not convinced I'd be comfortable with the MVP/VTR 'fag box' size batteries but then, I suspect that the 7" long fag-shaped units will feel a bit like sucking on a magician's wand, if you see what I mean.
- A spare low-capacity battery solely to use while the main one is charging.
- Plus I guess, a spare head or two for trying out new juices - preferably cheaper than the main unit.
- USB charger
And in direct opposition to all these, I'm after something that's not huge or too ridiculously expensive. Oh, and due to frequently working in high-security areas, the Cool Fire 2 is out due to it looking too much like a bloody grenade! Currently on my shopping list I have the Kanger Aerotank plus Vision Spinner 1300mah though I think it looks stupidly top-heavy and rather ugly with the eGo connecting collar. Over to you folks. How should I spend my dwindling spondoolics?

Welcome ceedee;-) Coolfire1 are ok, not vv/vw but reasonably priced and if vaping at 8w is acceptable then there pretty decent. Personally I use an aerotank on a vamo. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I think there great. It's down to personal taste really, you'll probably get a wide range of suggestions here, but everyone is really helpful, so take your pick;-)

I've not seen the video where busardo talks about adjustable airflow, but I'm not convinced it's an essential thing to worry about. Most tanks have a perfectly good draw without it being adjustable, and on tanks where it is adjustable, I just set it and forget about it. I wouldn't limit your choice of tank because of this! Battery wise, it sounds like you need an 18650 tube mod like a vamo or SVD if you're not a fan of the box mods. However, none of this is like holding a cigarette, even an ego battery will feel enormous! You'll adjust pretty quick.

I like my "fag box" MVP. Great little mod. t.b.h. when I'm at home, the SID sees the most action. He's a reliable dude.

Compromise. Thats the name of the game here. You will struggle to get everything you want there.
A Spinner/itaste VV would be a good start I guess, not too big and bulky. Unsure about battery life here if it would last a whole day vaping without needing a recharge. But I think the iTaste is a passthrough, so as long as your near a PC, you can still use it. Otherwise, you'll need to get 2 of them.
MVP / VTR you say your not too comfortable with. The VTR is bigger than MVP, which I find sits really well. Both are VW, which I prefer over VV, but that's not everyones opinion. You need separate batteries / charger for VTR, but then again, the MVP battery is internal, so once its dead, the whole thing is therefore disposable. Although can still be use at home as a passthrough / back-up device, so not all bad I guess.
Vamo / SVD / SID / Other "wand" like device. They can be quite bulky in 18650 mode, but will give you the features / longevity your looking for. Can be a much neater prospect in 18350 mode, but then you'll need multiple batteries for a full days vaping. I don't mind that sacrifice for a more manageable device, but then again, may not be the same for everyone. SVD is telescopic though, so handier for changing out battery sizes, the rest you'll need to take the correct size tubes for the correct size batteries.
Atty's wise. I find the 3ml tanks to last a day no bother. If your wanting Dual Coil, then the iClear30 (comes with a MVP from Myepack) is a top coil device. Some love them, I hate them though. Personal opinion. Protank 3 is a bottom coil dual coil, never had one, have the aerotank instead, also BDC (bottom dual coil). It is quite good, but the Aspire BDC blows it out the water for me. And are about half the price. But doesn't have adjustable airflow. Although you may be able to get an adjustable airflow adaptor? Or maybe I just dreamed that. Protank and some Aspire BDC's have glass tanks, so not prone to cracking when you use particular juices. Only when dropping them. iClear is plastic, and may crack with certain juices.
You can go smaller, down to ~1.6ml with the Aspires, and the iClear16 if keeping dual coil. Mini Protanks and Evods / T3's etc... are single coil devices, and with the exception of the mini protank, are all plastic tanks, susceptible to tank crackers.
These are your more "budget" options of course. You could blow the budget, get a DNA box mod thats really small (I have a Nucleic DNA20 from a guy on UK Vapers). Can't really see how an 18650 device could be smaller, and I get 2 days out the battery. Well upwards of £100 though. Then get a Kayfun Lite Plus from Cloud 9 vaping. Around £66, but vapes great, and you can coil it however you like. Not really a dual coiler, but irrelevant when it just works. Apparently there is a dual coil version coming soon though. But they are "money no option, I want the best" options really.
Beyond that, it's all personal preference. So only really you can decide. Watch videos, read threads, ask more questions and do your research.
FWIW, I have a VAMO, SID, Nemesis (Mech mod), Hex (Mech), Nucleic for mods, and loving the Nucleic. Had the MVP, and loved that too. Also love the Vamo and the SID, so actually, I'm not unhappy with anything I have. I do LOVE my Aspire tanks, and use them all day every day. The Kayfun, Taifun GT etc... get used in the evenings.

I'm a vamo/aerotank user when out for a long day. I use it in the 18650 mode and keep a spare 18350 with me in case I use up the larger battery.
Also have two itaste v3's with mini protank 2 v2's on them (and iclear 16's for when I need ease of re-filling) for those days when the vamo would look really out of place in a crowd.

I need some advice too, please. Is it normal to have to replace a Clearomiser and it's battery every few months? I'm on a pretty tight budget and even though it's cheaper than normal tobacco, it's still difficult for me. I've done all the cleaning required in instructions and still both my Clearomisers and batteries that I ordered with them are leaking and not recharging properly. My knowledge isn't too good on the jargon that's used on this forum and even though I've been off my roll ups for 2 years, my knowledge only runs to e-ciggies, moving onto Clearomisers for the last few months. Can anyone advise on something similar, not too expensive, that will last a bit longer?

ceedee @ freespirit. keepitgoin is right freespirit - start a thread, introduce yourself, tell us what equipment you have, and we can advise better. If you are out all day somewhere that you can't recharge or refill ceedee then I think you have 2 choices - a) a big device (vamo/SVD if you don't like boxes) and a full-size clearo or b) take two ego (cigar-sized) batteries, on which you can put two full mini-sized clearomisers before you go out. Personally I do the latter, although I have vamo & SVD & big clearos which I use at home.

Thanks for your messages both of you. I'll work out how to start a new thread. Sorry keepitgoin, it's just that I'm not used to how to post properly. Will give it some time today and work it out. Thanks for advice.
