where am i going wrong with microcoils

How many wraps of which wire is correct for dual coils if I want to be at 1.8 - 2.0? Threatening to attempt recoiling an Aerotank.

That depends on the size of the coils and the thickness of wire.  If you want a final resistance of 1.8 - 2.0 you need each coil to be double your final resistance.  Two 4 ohm single coils will be 2 ohms when dual coil.  Dual coil halves your resistance if both coils are the same

Yes, I understand that much, but my maths is rubbish.  I've got .2 and .25 wire here.  Which one will I use and how many wraps on a 2mm bit (per coil) to end up with 1.8 - 2.0 overall?

Probably about 8 or 10 of 0.2 will give you 4 ohms. Not exactly sure though so it would need to be tested using a meter

Will give 0.2 wire a go with more wraps instead of 2.5mm, would love to get this Atty performing like my Kayfun.

I did two nano micro coils in a bdc head last night and it's actually worked, sitting at 2 ohms. That was using an 18 gauge needle and .18mm kanthall.

On the wire mesh company website they give you ohms per metre for the different wire.
