I like Vamos, mine is in constant use. I'd get another. Got a V2 SS originally from Vaporbreak. I recently replaced the top cap with a V5 top cap, an improved design, easier to clean too. I use it with a SS Ody clone. That's how cheap I am.
Problems. 1) Vamo threads are chromed brass so using them with a stainless steel threaded atomizer setup can destroy the threads and make the Vamo useless. I use a tank airflow controller as mentioned above, it costs £3 to replace if the threads go and you can screw the SS threads into it rather than constantly screwing and unscrewing the Vamo threads.. 2) On the V2, if you push/screw your centre pin down too far it compresses the o-ring under the pin and shorts against the body, giving 0.0 ohms. You can try to lift the pin back over the inside ring, but if it goes once it tends to go again. This ring can be replaced with a more rubust one and a bit of fiddling with a screwdriver, it's on youtube. The airflow controller helps here too, so long as you don't ever over-tighten it. It looks like the V5 head doesn't have this problem, new design.
Advice 1) Be careful to preserve Vamo putty threads, use a tank airflow controller to prevent wear. 2) Be careful not to overtighten anything ever on a V2 head. 3) Only buy the SS versions, the plated ones quickly start to look tatty, while the SS bodies are tough and good looking like me. 4) Only use it in RMS mode.
I considered a full V5, but it doesn't do anything new over the V2 and costs more.

I've had a V2 SS Vamo from Health Cabin since they came out . . . never had any real issues, other than the Ego threading not allowing any airflow so making it useless. An issue that's been resolved in later versions as far as I know. I swapped the spring to the Silver Bullet one, it's supposed to improve something or another. www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/silver-bullet-hot-spring.htmlI don't over tightened anything I put on it, it's been a real work horse. More than happy for what it cost.

Happy enough with my FT V2 that I would by another rather than a V5. Threads OK but not perfect after 6 months, I try to keep screwing unscrewing to a minimum.

Does anyone have a link for the airflow controller mentioned? I've got a relatively new Vamo and don't want to run into trouble later down the line over something so small. Cheers!

its not fugly ! its just in a class of its own ...
the only ONLY thing i dont like about it is, where the swirls are cut, it has quite sharp edges. IMO nothing can beat the vamo v2

I have a V2 stainless model and its been in (heavy) daily use for over five months and hasn't missed a beat - threads seem fine (bear in mind I only use 510 clearos i.e. Davides and Protanks on it mind). Been dropped more than a few times and whilst the clearomiser rarely survives (bloody glass) the Vamo is fine barring the odd chip.
The V2 is hopeless for ego threaded clearos though - my gets airflow fine but trying to get one off without unscrewing the bottom and covering it and yourself with juice is a lottery.
Its still my favourites vaping device out of everything I;ve had to date (and I've been through almost every electric mod you can think of), my evic gives a slightly more pleasing vape but I rarely would trust it out of the house, delicate little flower that it is - the Vamo in 18350 mode goes everywhere with me.

I also have a V2 SS Vamo. Great workhorse, simple and cheap. I use mine with a Kayfun Lite or a Kayfun 3.1 clone and so far (touches wood) the threads are fine, but i never screw anything down really tight. For me its the must 'bang for your buck' VV/VW device there is.

I've replaced 6 top caps for people in the past year or so, and when I've given them back i show them how tight to fit an attie. Usually followed by a red face. (Theirs not mine) £20 delivered from China, what better VV/VW mod can you buy for that kind of money? Punk Vam. 15 months old and still going strong. OK the chrome started to peel so I "de-chromed" it but it still works as good as the day I bought it.

I've got 2,the v2 from when they were first on the market from Vape escape,it was the black chrome model.I used it 24/7 for 12 months without a problem. It still works fine, the only problem is the chrome has worn in places.I now have the s/s v5 and use it daily also without any problems. The greatest thing since sliced bread.
