Put your atty on and hold down the right plus button. It will show how many ohms your coil is. It won't fire under 1.2 and shows low load.

low load on a VAMO means it has a short circuit 9.9 ohms means either open circuit or a really big hi ohm coil

Thanks for all the advice guys, it's now reading 9.9 with nothing on it, I guess it's an internal issue. I'll send it back and get a V2...

Surelyitssupposed to read 9.9 with no atty on it as 9.9 represents open circuit. Maybe when your getting low load with the atty connected its because the atty is making contact correctly at the 510 and it's still open circuit. I'd persevere trying different attys on the vamo until you get an expected ohm reading before condemning it.

I'd guess the grommet has gone - sleeve that goes round the pin. Common problem on vamos (though I don't know about the V5).
You can fix it - there's a thread somewhere, but I'm away from home & the grandkids just got in..

Ignore this you don't have a short. It's likely your issue is with an open circuit atty as some have posted above.

Hello, I've only just received my Vamo v5 and it doesn't work, when I put a battery in the shell it recognised that it was in their and the vamo logo would turn on, I would press the button five times and it will turn on, I can scroll through the menu when it is turned on but when I press the firing button it just flashes to another screen and turns off, please help me I have no idea what the problem is.
The tank I am using is a I clear 30s and the battery's are ultrafire 18650 5600 mah 3.7v The atomiser is around 2.2 omes

Welcome to you danny. It's not a problem I've experienced . . . maybe it doesn't like the batteries you are using at a guess? The more techy members will advise you there. Have you been in contact with your Vendor, if you've just recently bought it.
