Hi all, as a lot of you might remember I was talking about how the wife has taken to vaping, she's gone from 40 cigs a day to 10 but is getting headaches from vaping. We have experimented as she has fibromyalgia and can get headaches from it but no, this is purely to do with vaping.
If she vapes a headache comes on within minutes. The juice is a home made one, mostly VG, the nic base is 7.2%/72mg PG so not a lot needed to make a 20mg juice.
We both drink loads of non alcoholic drinks, must be at least 3 litres a day so not dehydration and the same again, low PG.
Can anyone shed some light on what me causing the problem?
Cheers

sometimes headaches are caused by a sugar imbalance - so eating fruit might help

Mmm would that come on that quick? Maybe it's the high VG ratio.

Perhaps 20mg is too high for her? Also could be a reaction to the flavouring?

Dual use can cause this - if she ups the nicotine she should be able to drop the tobacco and avoid the problem.

The flavours are virginia fine cured and golden rollie, she doesn't smoke either side of a vape for at least 30 minutes, she doesn't constant vape like me, I puff away like a man possessed lol. (Caramel, what can I say) Just takes a couple of puffs, maybe 3 or so.
For the amount she vapes compared to smoking I can't see 20mg being to much, 40 a day smoker? It's the little evod twin pack from myepack she has too so not like a rebuildable hit machine, I got that overdoing it from the AGI but have to say I really enjoyed it lol.
Sorry, just trying to remember as much info as poss.

my father in law is having same problem. He smokes ALOT of rollies and I got him some 24mg juice but it gives him really bad headaches and he only has a few puffs...
Ive got him some 12mg coming so hopefully that will help!?
Maybe its to do with smoking & vaping...too much nicotine? Or the way the body absorbs the nicotine....whatever it is im hoping I can find the right balance for him to get him to cut down / quit the cigs.

It's practically all VG as is an she doesn't have any of the sore guts or anything which I would expect.
moosey let me know how it goes with that, I wouldn't have thought it was the nic but who knows.

vg intolerance? unless you try various combos, you won't find out. Try mixing same flavour and strength in 100% PG and 100% vg and at 3 different strenghts, and try all. If there's no difference, it's the flavouring. If there are differences whichever way, there's further evidence. Fiddly I know, but process of elimination is the only way to do it

Enjay, if you get some answers, please post as I have been having the same problem. I tried the VG juices but prefer the PG but get flushed cheeks and headaches all the time. I am on 18mg strength as any lower and I was vaping continuously and getting no satisfaction and I had given up cigarettes and nicotine for 18 months! I am hoping its just getting used the nicotine again.

Will do, I actually googled it earlier and got loads of hits, seems it's quite common.
