Hello all and thank you to so many of you for the various brilliant introductory posts. Research has never been so fun!
So today I became the proud owner of an Aqwa square vari kit 3.0 (which, having done a lot of searches, seems to be the innokin vv 3.0 repackaged for a UK? audience).
I have to be truthful and say that I wandered into e-cig territory as a way of giving up the stinkies and I know this isn't always the best introduction for some people (but please bear with me!!)
So - I plugged my new device in, then I added the juice, then I took a drag. Blimey. I haven't coughed that much since I first started smoking so it appears I need to modify my technique somewhat.
Two questions of the experts on here: How to stop coughing When do I know when to change/buy a new clearomizer?
Thanks in advance and sincerely, thanks again for the wealth of knowledge on these boards.
Wolf (I'm a girl by the way in case my username is somewhat masculine!)

Hello wolfvape - To answer your questions: Coughing - it's similar to smoking but not the same. Take slow drags into the mouth then take it down slowly. Treat it the same as a cutie and you may cough a lot. It's also possible that you're sensitive to one of the juice ingredients, PG sensitivity is quite common, so if taking it easy doesn't work then you may need to look at different juices. The last thing is power - your device can vary the power, so try turning it down and see if that helps. Clearo life - it'll taste off, or muted after a while. That's when you change the coil. How long that takes depends on your juice and the device you use. What clearos have you got?

Thanks for the welcome!
The whole variable wattage/variable voltage thing is confusing me at the moment so I need to read the manual a bit more I think.
In terms of clearos - the ones that came with the kit. The trademark on them is 'aclear DC' if that helps?

By the way, I just want to add that I'm already a fan! Even though I've not mastered the junior version of how to do it properly, the existing open packet of M Lights just looks wrong to me now. I'm a convert already.

Sounds like a rebranded iclear16 - does it look like this, with 4 bits of wick sticking out inside: myepack.co.uk/iclear-16-dual-coil-clearmiser.htmlIf so, the coil lasts ages, several weeks - it's a good clearo. Power-wise, press and hold the right button until a number appears followed by a U. Then use left and right buttons to move the power level up and down. Keep at it, you've made a good choice of kit!

Yay - thank you ionian - that is what the coil thing looks like and thank god I made a good choice of kit (I'm a research demon so I'm glad I didn't come into this blind). And I'll have a practice with the + and - buttons to get it working for me.
Again, thanks.

I think I'm right on the buttons - I had one a few months ago, but it's been rehomed now so please do check the instructions just in case

Thanks munkymunky - it's a whole new world out there! Nice too to have a UK forum. When I did a search initially all I got was a load of information about getting stoned which wasn't exactly my intention.

Welcome wolfvapeDo you do Monty Python? "Repackaged for the UK, re-branded to charge more...." Not to worry though, it's great. I wasted hundreds (£) on a "popular high quality e-cig (NOT)" before realising the power of the forums.... just don't go back and feed the monster that has been created.

When the flavour starts to get a bit dull (can be as early as 3 days in some cases, a week in others) toss the lot into a mug of warn water with a cheapo denture tablet (not a mint flavoured one...just the basic sort) and leave over night. In the morning, dry them off with a bit of kitchen roll and do a 'dry burn'. Examples of dry burn are all over you tube so search that out and follow their lead. Once you have it glowing well, you're good to go again. Keep doing that lot and your coil will last months instead of weeks.

@djs Do you do Monty Python? Oh I certainly do ;-) "Repackaged for the UK, re-branded to charge more...." Ha ha - I laughed at that a lot. Thanks. And newdawn when you say 'toss the lot into..' do you mean the clearomizer bit that screws off, or do you mean to take it apart (i.e. get the wicks out)? Sorry to be so dense...

newdawn knows these clearomisers. (I have a load of them too, but not needed to wash one yet). Take it apart, rinse out the tubes/drip tip and soak the "wick" section.

Thanks charon and djs. It is a rather wonderful moment when a) you realise there is so much expertise out there and you are joining an experienced crowd and b) that it's so much fun!
