Since I've been coming to AAEC I've noticed a lot of threads are started after I go to bed and I have to try and catch up in the morning! I was a postie for 11 years and although I left the job more than 10 years ago I've never been able to get out of the habit of waking in the early hours, some days I'm up around 4am (yup, even at the weekend ) Of course this has a knock on effect and I'm usually asleep by 9.30 or 10
So are you up with the birds like me, or do you pull all-nighters regularly?

Just like you charliebrown. Up before 6 for work, so am lucky if I can sleep in beyond 7 at the weekend... it's even more annoying that Mr Lairey gets up the same time as me in the week, but can happily sleep in until 10 or 11 at the weekend.

Bit of both for me, depending on what shifts I'm working charliebrown . . . I'll very often get up, check out the forum/walk the dog and then go back to bed for a couple hours if I've a later start. Other days I'm up at 4am for the early start.

I have no sleep pattern, it is erratic. Some nights I cannot sleep even though I am tired out, so I get up , play scrabble/read a book, hot chocolate, 2 hrs later go back to bed but still get up 7am so I have a cat nap in the afternoon. This does not impact on my life at all as I am retired.

I'm generally up early (6-6.30) even on weekends, I do try to go to bed before midnight though or I really suffer with mornings. The joys of two young kids are even if I do need get to have a lie in one of them will end it abruptly!

Normally wake up between 6-7am, go to sleep between 10.30-11pm. Really annoying on Sundays, the only day I can have a lie in as I still wake up between 6-7am. God knows why I set an alarm every day for 7.30 as I don't need it!

I used to have a really good sleep pattern a few years ago. Go to bed, 9.30/10 - up at 6... Now I never know though would rather be up before 9 then in bed till 1pm (sloth) and up half the night Nighttime is not a good time to be up. Though I noticed a newbie not sleeping last night with nic withdrawal and I'm just like 'up your nic concentration'. I don't know why some folk still think e-cigs are a way to 'quit smoking' when they are an alternative and if we say anything else we'll get the antis on our case... rant over

After many years of early starts (5.30am ish) I just can't shake the habit and even as I no longer work I still find things to do at that hour.

I'm usually up till minimum 12 but can be 4am before I nodd off. Get up at 7am ish.
Some nights I don't even sleep but wrecks me day after. Definetly more of an evening/night person and would sleep more if could in day.
Does get lonely on this forum after 1am ish lol.

Night owl, definitely a night owl. I hate the mornings, always have done. Sometimes I really chastise myself for going to bed late and feel guilty for getting up late. My husband is the other way round, he's an early bird so we tend to clash, but you know what, he gets more sleep hours than I do even though he's always moaning at me for getting up late, and no matter how much I point this out to him he still moans at me for sleeping in I rarely go to bed before 2am and even when I do I can't sleep until gone 2 so I think to myself 'what's the point'
