Ello everyone,
Haven't started vaping yet, but am totally confused (so far) with the range of kits/flavours/batteries/coils/chargers etc etc.
I am probably going to go for one of the Jacvapour models, but not sure yet. Any views on them?
I am a 20+ a day medium strength cigarette smoker at the moment & basically want to a) save money and b) be a bit healthier.
I was going to go for the lookalike ecigs, but was put off them by the lack of battery life & not being able to refill the flavour.
If you reply, please don't go on about all the VR/PCC/VV/AT or whatever they are, because I won't have a CLUE what you're on about!
Cheers & When I take the plunge, I'll start joining in a bit more.
Cheers
Ian

This myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.htmlIt's simple and works great, lasts pretty decent too and a good price. You can fill up the tanks with two different flavours and charge one battery while using the other. I got one for the wife and really can't fault it at all. Only problem I can see is juice flavour, you don't get anything that tastes just like a cig and I found that to be the biggest hurdle. I'm now vaping caramel blend though and love it. I think maybe an 18mg nic strength to start off, you could maybe go lower but that's a medium strength, I'm on 24mg myself. I personally love joosejuice, the guy is super helpful too www.joosejuice.co.uk/shop/page/1?sessid=W7OQ8uY7VCduB1yzAkPNS20QyhyJHdTlKma0DCBsrSOb87avQSCurYi8a54OeWNuBut you might find it easier to find a local shop that will let you try out various flavours to find something you can vape. Anyway good luck with it, it does really work, I haven't completely stopped yet but I have gone from over 40 a day to like 10 or so and feel LOADS better already. I can run, have more energy and don't keep myself awake at night with squeaky lungs. I had no intention of stopping at all, I actually enjoyed smoking but it was a friend who got me started and now I'm glad he did.

Welcome along Ian...I was the same as you September last year but its all very simple to me now...with help on this forum and reading reviews and info on the different things you need or can buy the penny dropped and away ya go. Both myself and my hubby started with an Ego battery with CE4 tanks, soon got other tanks ( clearomizers ) they do give better flavor....Went against what some members here said. ( paying out for the better kits, I really do wish looking back I would have had the higher end kit in the begining )...then upgraded to better batteries and tanks...it does make sense to pay a little more for a better starter kit. Your initial outlay is high but once all set up with the flavors you like the savings start to come. I shall say I hate any flavor that is tobacco or cig tasting...prefer a fruity one...hubby loves menthol and mixes in a fruit flavor....he never smoked menthol cigs either.

Hi and welcome. I think enjay has just about summed it up. If you spend at this stage, you can save in the long run. I wish I had of missed out the ego stage and went straight to variable voltage I would of saved tons. Whatever you decide, get ready for how easy it will be and enjoy the vape!

Thank you for saying "ello"!
Nice to type a new thread & get all this support ....
I was looking at the Jacvapour ecigs, but heard that they use a different thread to everything else which could cause an issue I guess.
Performance Ego, Ego C Twist, Ego V V3, Evod and maybe Jacvapour are some I will be looking at closer.
My brain is about to explode (just finishing a night shift) with all the different types, so I'll take my time to get the right one for me, I guess.
When I've worked out what I want from my ecig, I'll have to say "this is what I want, what are the best ones and why?"
Cheers guys,
Ian

Thanks ....
I think my biggest worry (after smoking 20 - 30 real cigarettes per day and always having them to hand) is that I'll get the starter kit & I'll either run out of battery life or flavour or the coil will burn out or whatever it does before ordering more of everything so I don't need to worry about running out with no way of carrying on NOT smoking.

hi CaptainChaos - welcome - could not agree more to what enjay wrote - we were all - or at least most of us - me for example confused at the beginning - believe me - the confusion disappears as quickly as does the vapor - you will be off the stinkies in no time

CaptainChaosJacvopour look overpriced compared to Myepack or Paradise Vape. I don't think you get a better product for your money - probably worse, but they don't give sufficient information to be able to tell. Everybody is trying not to blind you with science, but it is worth knowing that how long a battery lasts is its "mah". I wouldn't buy an ecig battery from someone who didn't tell me what it was, because you don't know what you are getting. 650mah is really a minimum for a 20/day smoker, and you need two of those - one to use while the other is charging, and as backup. It looks to me as if the Jacvapour are 400mah, and, for instance, if you work an 8-hour day, that won't get you through it.

Welcome to you CaptainChaos. My one piece of advice would be, whatever you do settle on ( which I sincerely hope won't be Jacvapour ) then you have back ups . . .

My advice is to get the Evod kit linked to above the Jacvapour would only just be okay if you smoked between 5- 10 stinkies a day. Also I'd recommend you get 24mg as well as 18mg liquid for the early days whhen you may need a nicotine boost.

scary innit and very confusing but you will soon pick it all up. just take the bits you need to know to get you started and the rest will follow i started on a riva battery kit which had 2 and one tank. i think the evod starter pack has 2 batteries. i just had a quick squizz at it and you'll not go far wrong with one of them good luck and welcome

Welcome CaptainChaos to the mad mad world of vaping (that is the ability to ingest nicotine without the accompanying associated toxic chemicals generated from combustion of tobbaco) Enjoy.

Hiya Cap't/Ian Welcome to AAEC, you'l get loads of advice and help here, feel free to ask away. It does seem confusing at first and it can take a few weeks for the basics to sink in, but you really just need a decent set up thats faff free and easy to use to see if vaping is for you You really could do with a pair of batteries, as members have said - as to quit smoking you don't want a gap while your waiting for battery to charge, thats the danger, it'll be then when you really really want a smoke With the slim long round batteries (normally referred to as ego batteries) you cant use whilst charging. There are some batteries on the market that are 'pass though' you can plug in at base a mini usb and vape on it whilst its charging, which is handy but only useful if your static - at home or at a work desk etc. If you are then you can manage with one battery (I did, for 3 weeks, then I ordered another because I loved it ) They are variable voltage/wattage, and all that means is you can change the power of your vape for extra enjoyment. If you do like the idea of a variable voltage/ wattage (generally shortened to vv/vw ) and a pass through (vape whilst charging) theres a few of this type, again on myepack (recommended because he's often the cheapest in UK) You can get away with a single battery but you will need to be near a power source regularly throughout day, especially in the early stages of quitting smoking. They come in different sizes, theres the MVP which is a powerhorse at 2600mah battery (box look) its about the size of a pack of 10 ciggies but it does last days between charges. You might feel thats over large? if so there is the vv starter kit thats an 800mah battery, with charger cable and wall plug and comes with 5 iclear16 tanks for £30 You just have to decide what might suit you best, having just one battery isn't ideal but is doable if you have a power source to hand. The vv/vw batteries are a step up but not complex to use, you just fiddle with the buttons and find what setting seems nicest Anyways, feel free to ask away!!
