I agree with the no red/orange LED,,,,absolutely no need for them what-so-ever. I couldn't see the point of any LED that's been put in the one place the user can't see it.

maybe have a removable LED, then the user can choose between red or blue, depending on the situation, going out - BLUE, staying in - RED, Simples !

I don't like the LEDs, I prefer to stealth vape and I don't want my e-cig looking like a cigarette.

For me, the sooner there's no red LEDs anywhere on an e-cig, the better... Maybe all lookalikes should have a blue LED for the purposes of distinguishing the between real and E-ciggie ??? yeah - and they should look nothing like a real ciggy, either.

there is no practical reason on putting an led on a vaping device except to make it look like its a real cigarette...why anyone would want to look like they are smoking is beyond me specially with all the negativity that comes with being a smoker but hey I'm all for choice ...each to their own and all that.

I really like this thread - I tweeted and facebooked it!! This type of discussion really hits home with me. I am passionate about ecigs as a way of reducing the harm profile of nicotine users without losing the FUN!! Both my parents died from smoking related illnesses before they reached pensionable age (dad 54, mum 59) - I am not going to do that!! the only reason why?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ecigs My mission is to open the eyes of smokers to this alternative,,,not to preach to them. Look-a-likes are ESSENTIAL to enable this to happen,,,BUT they need to cost less than a pack of 10 fags or MOST smokers will not even entertain them!

Just to put things into some kind of perspective & go back to Heady's opening post.
I've been mainly using GG's for the last 2 years - GG Grant to begin with but now mainly use my GGTS, stunningly beautiful (IMHO) & just work every time I push the button, plus the batteries for it are so cheap & last for yonks. However, would a GG be the first thing I recommend to a newbie - nope. Not because I don't think it's the bees knees (again IMHO) but because it would be too big a step for most newbies.
To give a none forum real life example. A few weeks ago, a neighbour of mine had a friend staying with her. Lynda used to be a fairly heavy smoker & had tried everything in the past to give up smoking. Sheila, my neighbour (a non smoker) told her about e-cigs cos she had seen me using them. So Lynda bought a super-mini. When I met up with her, she was really struggling with it, kind of liked it but...
She was gobsmacked by my GGTS, but said it really wasn't for her. So gave her my Riva to try out - she was over the moon with it & bought one straight away. She passed on her super-mini to her daughter, who has now also quickly moved onto a Riva.

Excellent post Rusty & thank you for tweeting & FB'ing this thread My mission has been more or less the same - to let as many people know about e-cigs, plus find them the best starter kit at the best price from a good seller.
