I've been reading and reading through loads of posts and I've realised that a lot of people are hoarding/ stocking up on nic base. Is this for fear of it being banned? If so then I'd better get on the bandwagon too but I'm on info overload. I think I have the basic understanding, correct me if I'm wrong please. i have ordered 100 ml of 54mg (54/18 =3ml) which I want to make 18mg so I would add 3ml to a 10 ml bottle along with 5ml plain vg and 2ml approx flavouring ? Am I getting close to how you make your own? Then if I find it too strong I could add less flavour and more vg in the correct ratio? im also wanting to make a chocolate mint so was looking at Capella flavours. Am I better with Dutch choc mint or getting the double chocolate and the cool mint seperately? sorry about all the questions. Any advice and ideas would be great x

Do you have to use drops? Couldn't I use a syringe and measure in mls?
actually just realised it's more accurate in drops than .2 of a ml Is there a certain dropper I should use?

I use syringes for the small amounts - like a few mls - and a measuring cylinder for the bigger amounts - works fine for me go for it - it's fun - I only started recently - and like it - I use the forum calculator and find it brilliant if you want to make an 18mg strength - why not getting yourself a 72 strength nic base ? -

I only started mixing a few months ago and was terrfied at first. But lots of lovely help from the members here. I use the forum calculator as I find it the most simple and straight forward for my mathematically challenged brain! Now you can't stop me mixing, I have masses now plus loads of new concentrates. No real disasters to date,, sometimes something needs "tweaking" with a bit of sweetener or a touch more flavour, but it all works out well in the end. Not yet had to chuck some liquid down the sink, so on the whole I just love mixing my own!!!

yes most important is the help here - I just thought of my own 'asking for help mixing thread' - I asked every single question of the planet - and the result is a happy mixer

I have just started to mix with VG/AG only 72 mg nic base. It suits me better than with PG and means I don't have to buy PG any more - a bonus!!

Just checked with the forum calculator rednutt & you were pretty close with your calculations here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/page/calculator thats mixed at 10% flavour however many of us like our juices much stronger flavourwise so if yours are a bit weak you might want to alter flavours to 15 or 20% on another mix & just tweak up flavour in your first mix once you have tried it. Its essential that you write everything down about your mixes & any tweaks that may be added then you know exactly how you want future mixes. Don't forget chocolate mixes need to steep at least a week & sometimes it can be 2 -3 weeks before they are at their best, i have a chocomint steeping at the moment it was mixed on 21/03/14 i will be trying it over this weekend.

Don't know if mixing calc is showing as it was not when i just tried checking if the amounts were showing, anyway for 18mg x 50/50 PG/VG from 54mg nic base it was: 3.33ml nic base 0.67ml PG 6ml VG 1ml flavour Good luck its great mixing your own juices as you know exactly whats in them & much cheaper too it works out approx £1.10 per 10ml bottle + you make it to your own preference.

I would heartily recommend mixing if you have T Juice favourite flavours, as their concentrates are already combined and mixed ready for you to dilute and are a match to e liquid you can buy as a ready made (all you need to do is mix the correct percentage to get an identical flavour) and at a fraction of cost.
Using the site calculator you just have to input the right info, and the results are given to suit your requirements, so there's no real maths involved (bar a cautious check you have put correct info in)
At first it can seem costly getting together your mixing gear but from then on in its a real saving as most 10ml mixes cost less that a pound
