I've been experimenting with a few different clearomisers now (Evod, iclear 16 and mini protank 2). Whilst I've found them good I've found the flavours aren't really as sharp as they should be. I feel that the vapours should taste as good as they smell but aren't really finding that. I read somewhere that this is a common problem with clearomisers and should go with something else. Any ideas for ways to get a full flavoured vape?
I'm using an itaste vv/vw 3.0, surely that can't be the problem? Can a battery affect the flavour?

play with the + and - buttons on it to change how much power the batt puts throw the cleromisers start low and turn it up till you find the sweet spot to much power can be just as bad as to low

Hi sirvapalotFrom my limited experience, depending where you have bought them, most of the juices you buy will be freshly made for your order and will definately need 'steeping' which might also be why the flavour isnt as sharp as you expected. Depending which vendor you buy from, some juices are good to vape straight away but most will benefit from a good week to three weeks steep time. Any B & M (bricks & mortar) stores you buy from should be ready to vape. I noticed from your previous post you bought some Smokerainbow juices, I havn't bought from there yet and have heard they ready steep them but have also heard that their juices taste weak in comparison to other peoples experiences of them. ??? I tried the microcoil and cotton wool trick for the first time last week and can confirm that this does vastly improve the flavour.

Bottom coil clearo's like the Evod/Protank do give a better flavour, I find anyway sirvapalot . . . the flavour strength of your eliquid and your taste buds still adjusting from smoking, play as large a part as anything in the taste experience.

I find that the Protank 1 mutes the flavour slightly, but it is perfect for the juices I have mixed that I find too strong usually.

I find the whole "clearomisers mute flavour" argument little more than playground tittle tattle.
A clearo will not produce the same flavour as a rebuidable atomizer. Even a cartomiser can sometimes be more efficient. That's true.
But, mostly people say this because they have an ulterior motive for making out that clearos are rubbish. Mostly, they want to show off with their £100 RBAs.
Nothing wrong with them. Basic but plenty good enough to vape.

I'm not sure steeping is the problem. I bought juices from smokerainbow, which should be ready to go and gave them and extra week before using and still finding they lack a bit of a punch.
Cheers for the info on the RBA, I didn't really want to waste that kind of money thats only going to make a marginal difference.
The microcoils with cotton wool seems the most appealing, it would mean investing in some tools that I don't have lying around though. Is there anyone out there who sells them ready made?

Are any of these of use to you sirvapalot: Weirdly the link doesn't take me to the Coil page, but some are available on NatureVape . . . on the product page drop down menu, coils. www.naturevape.co.uk/store/?age-verified=fee8bbf034#

Indeed and agreed Greg . . . but it could be a useful exercise just to see if it helped with the issues sirvapalot is having. Personally I'd buy these and shove some cottonwool through: www.fasttech.com/p/1611705

I personally prefer the protanks to the evod - this also because I prefer metal drip tips - I find a distinct difference between the mini protank and the protank 2 with the airflow control - - we are at present happily vapint on the protank 2 most of them with the home made coils ( well I have a nautilus coming towards me next week and the kanger mega, which should be in stock next week has also my name on it )
