I waited ages for my joose juice testers to steep - (not sure if it's been 18 or 21 days), had some needle tip bottles arrive this morning so tried again with the 306 atty this afternoon. I looked up a guide exactly how to drip and did everything it said but all I could taste was hot yucky metal.
Washed the atty, and left it to dry but I think I knackered it with all the dry burning I did the other day. Either I broke it or dripping's not for me
So I decided to try my new naturevape mini that arrived on the doormat this morning. Put a juice in, popped it on my vision spinner, looked up another guide to make sure I'm doing the right things - and it tastes... horrible to be honest Played with the voltage, tried varying my technique... nothing I do seems to make it any better. I'm getting all the things I don't like about vaping so far - too harsh a throat hit, prickly feeling in my mouth and nose, metally sort of taste and very little flavour. This is sposed to be the bees knees for my stage of vaping but it's really just not very nice at all
So I decided to go back to what I started with - K2 tank on 1100 mah ego battery. Another juice, new head and the very first flavour I ever tried (joose juice again whereas the first one was dekang, but same flavour) and which I loved (but just found too harsh and quickly got vapours tongue from). It's the best of the bunch, but honestly that's not saying much. It's just 'ok'.
I feel like I'm never gonna get the hang of this. I so WANT to like vaping! But there's just so many variables at the mo and it's all still so new. I don't know what things are SUPPOSED to taste like and I can't tell which part to change that will make the difference. I know I just have to change one thing at a time I guess, do it by a process of elimination... but I guess I've just got dispondant.
I just lit up another stinky.
Has anybody got a wee hug spare cos I could do with one!

It takes some people a little time to find their right set-up. For me, the first drag on a cigalike from a petrol station was enough to get me to ditch a 25 year tobacco addiction.
What strength e-liquid are you vaping? Maybe something milder will help with the harsh throat hit.

Hang in there! I'm new to this too and I'm just trying to get my head around it all. Iv not had one stinky in the last four days. But before that I was duel fuileing I counted the stinky that I did not have. Instead of the ones that I did! Try that and you might feel a bit better about it all. Don't worry if you don't like the taste of a juice. It's all personal. All I know is that it should not taste burnt. Take long slow drags on it play around with different volts on your spinner. Use your ego too. Play around with different juices.
Your one ahead of me. I've not done any steeping yet. I've not even read anything about how to do It. I've been staying away from them threads until next week. I can only take so much info in at one time.
Hang in there and good luck

Persistence is key with this. Just keep trying and youll get there its often simple things that make a vape less enjoyable. Flooded coil (to much juice in the wick, causing it to boil instead of vaporise) Dry coil (juice not saturating the wick quick enough) Power too high/low

misst I had exactly the same with the joosejuice testers (the 1ml ones) and out of 23 flavours, only a couple had any taste whatsoever. I couldn't work out why. If there is a shop anywhere near you that sells eliquids? It might be a good idea to go there & try some just to see what it is supposed to taste like. I get the "oh this is the bestest taste ever" all the time, then I try it and think ??? but everyone is different - the old Marmite love it or hate it syndrome. Your taste buds are probably still at the "can't taste much due to the stinkies" stage (like my taste buds are) but occasionally, you'll suddenly get a "ohhhhhhh yeahhhhh" from an eliquid & off you go Don't give up & don't beat yourself up about having the occasional stinky - I do.

Hi misst if you Dry Burn Dripping Atomisers (510, 306) it will Burn them out, they usually just need rinsing, or soaking in Denture Cleaner or Vodka overnight if you've been using VERY Strong Flavours. Let them Dry Naturally, near a window or by a Radiator then reuse. You need to put 6 or 7 DROPS on an Atomiser from Dry, then 2 or 3 the next time you detect a Change in Flavour (after every 4 or 5 Vapes) Don't get too stressed about the Fags you DO Smoke, Count the ones you DON'T Smoke 'cos you Vaped instead. You are NOT Giving Up ANYTHING, you ARE TAKING UP VAPING!

I shouldn't worry misst. I fall off the drip tip quite frequently. A day or two later I'm back pressing the button on my metal thingy. I've never had a prob with Kanger heads so far. Juice-wise, any I buy I let steep 3 weeks minimum. No prob with them really. JJ? I recommend them.

Made me giggle that did! I haven't actually tried that many juices yet, guess I still have a way to go there...

paulymeatballs yeah I should have some more patience I guess! I'm still experimenting with strengths etc. The first liquid I had was 12mg nic 80pg/20vg dekang mocha and I found that a really nice flavour but too strong with the throat hit and prickly sensation. Next I tried 6mg nic 80pg/20vg, and that was better on the throat but didn't stop me smoking. So I got a variety of 40/60, 50/50 and 30/70, all 12mg from jj so see if that made any difference an so far I can't really tell. Guess it would help if I actually liked the flavours tho eh? lol And yeah convert, I've heard nothing but good things about jj and I've let them steep for nearly 3 weeks. I don't understand it. Was looking forward to them so much!

misst - you will get there - we all did - don't know what it is with those 1ml samples - I ordered some too and used the drippers - but cold not get much taste out of it - well I am mixing my own now - but still have a few ready made ones - specially the trip hammer fizz bombs and Grant's vanilla custard - I think in future if I want to try something I just go for a 10ml bottle and if I really don't like it - swap it or give it to somebody at a vape meet - that might be also nice for you - see if there is a vape meet you could go to - it's alsways nice to meet fellow vapers and try and learn and have fund

halight steeping's only waiting an eternity for your juices to mature, nothing more to it really! I do know what you mean about there being a load of info to take in all at once tho, I have been struggling with that a bit and already made some mistakes. No stinkies in 4 days is colossal tho! Kudos to you for that! Steve (VapeStorm) yeah I need to keep at it don't I? Keep trying different things. Just ran outa patience today I guess...

CaptainChaos was it the jj ones you had trouble with or was it the chef's.. er... I forget the name, chef's something - those 1ml ones you can get from .. er the rainbow place... jeez my memory is so bad! lol Anyway I remember reading a review you did where you found most of them tasteless - it's soooo disappointing! You may well be right about our tastebuds still being crap as we've not long started. Hope I do find something I like that doesn't take the back of my throat off soon! I haven't gone for any from smoke rainbow (that's the name of it! yay I remembered!) because they come in such small amounts and I really haven't got on with that 306 atty . I've only had 4 tanks so far (I did get 2 more this morning tho) and didn't fancy having to clean everything every time... There is a shop in Edinburgh that does juices but I'm not sure if they let you try them. I'd be a bit shy to ask anyway.

Steeping? Over-rated. ...if it's not "happening" in less than a week, you've bought weak juice. (Now, is there a smiley for hiding behind sofa?....I'll take my popcorn....)

keepitgoin thanks for the advice there, yeah discodes put me straight about not dry burning the 306. I'd already done it by then tho Got myself confused (not difficult lol) It also sounds like, from what you said, I wasn't putting enough drops on to start with. It doesn't seem to matter how many drops I put on now tho - it just tastes disgusting! I might give it one more try, but not today - even tho I've brushed my teeth I still can't get rid of the metal yucky taste! I don't think I burned it out cos it was still fizzing an popping like a goodun but maybe I still broke it somehow?
