Going to work tonight, I will probably almost definitely order the Alchemists Cupboard Gold Mixing Starter Kit thing, just to get me on the right track, then I'll start to learn what the hell I'm doing before going all out for the "proper" stuff

5ml bottles are really handy, sometimes you just want to try one mix with added sweetener or coolada, so you can split a 10ml tester into 3, and have 3 options to try, as is mix/with menthol/with coolada.
So yes, although I don't choose to mix complex combination recipes at 5mls (I feel i'll go blind using 1ml syringes in multiples) I now use them often with 20% concentrate testers, 1ml concentrate/4mls ready base (I mentioned earlier in thread that I sometimes make an unflavoured 40/60 nic base)
So once you get to grips - the world's your oyster!

The only thing I'm struggling to get my head around is if to use a PG nic base or a 50/50 PG/VG nic base, the obvious answer is to use a PG base and thin it with cheaper off the shelf VG, but do I then need to thin it further with water?
I'm looking to create a strong flavour mix at around 10mg nic
I've got my concentrates on order and I plan on ordering my nic base tomorrow, what should I get?

Q sorry - I can't help, mate - I am totally clueless about the mixing stuff at the moment. The mixing calculator ('ejuice me up' has been recommended) is way beyond rocket science to me

Our own one is fairly understandable but doesn't answer my question (or I cant see it) We're going along the same path together mate, we'll have to share our creations

Well, I ordered Lime & Cherry Cola as my "starter" flavour concentrates, so hopefully they'll be fairly simple instructions to follow.
I can always put more flavour concentrate in it to make that flavour stronger (if that's how it works) lol

I've gone even easier, Red Astaire, VampVape, Minty the Toff, Jack the Ripple & Afrodiziac all from t-juice
Probably get some standard flavouring at a later date to make my own recipes

I will have to rear & re-read the way to do all this stuff so many times before I dare start actually putting stuff in test tubes/syringes/bottles.

If you are planning on a final mix of say 70/30 then it makes sense to get pg based. Regarding thinning the VG, some do some don't. You can use distilled water or vodka to thin it but many just use it as it is.

If you're not PG sensitive, then order the PG base Q - you won't need to dilute plain VG any further with that. When you come to use the VG, decant a small amount into a small bowl/cup of some description then draw it up using a syringe, minus the needle. You'll be fine doing that. Well, I ordered Lime & Cherry Cola as my "starter" flavour concentrates, so hopefully they'll be fairly simple instructions to follow. They'll be good ' standalone ' practise flavours CaptainChaos, I'd start at a ratio of 15% when you come to use them. Maybe have a little play with the forum calculator while you're waiting for your order: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/page/calculatorDon't angst about being ultra accurate - a few drops here or there extra/less are unlikely to have any significant effect on your overall end result.
