CaptainChaos - better still, once you have all your most recent mixing acquisitions sitting in front of you all ready to roll, pick a good time of day when all is quiet and you'll not be disturbed, open up the Mix Calc in a separate tab, have a go, then post for assistance here. We'll guide you through the process until you are rinsing out your syringes (blimey, you can tell that I'm a teacher!). No point in us just telling you the results, much better if you enter them yourself, get it wrong, put it right, and learn on the job. The best thing is, once you've finished, you'll wonder just what all the fuss was about, because it is almost as simple as adding Perpetua's ingredient list and giving it agood shake (once you've put the tops back on, of course ) In the meantime, have a play with the calculator, and try out a few phantom mixes so you understand a bit more about how it works. If you visit the website www.eliquid-recipes.co.uk you will find the self-same calculator but with the option to save your recipe either privately (so we can't all have a good snigger) or publicly (so we can). You will also find a good and ever-increasing library of other recipes there too, and yours will be added for other people to access if you save publicly. Hope this helps, and waiting for the call!!

Ok - when I receive my Alchemists Cupboard starter kit thing, can I PM you to say "ok, Ive got this this & this" would you be able to work it out & tell me what to do? Of course . . . providing you've had a little go at it yourself first, then I'll willingly check the volumes as I'm sure any number of us would. It is nice to just have that confirmation on a maiden mixing voyage. The hardest part I think when you're just starting out is deciding on what flavouring percentages to use, by and large there's no substitute for some trial & error . . . my personal taste is for an overall 20-25% of flavour, but yours may be for a little more or less.

Captain I've not long started mixing and have stuck to 5ml and 10ml samples and only just recently made my 1st 30ml bottles once I figured out flavour percentage. Kandi hed mixed mint at 15% was way to strong for me and froze the back of my throat so I did a small sample of 10% and it's perfect. Capella vanilla custard I started at 15% and now upped it to 20% and I'm having real trouble tasting it.(probably just been vaping too much of it and my taste buds have got used to it) So I've decided to try some of the custard recipes on here to liven it up a bit. Start off with small amount and if you find something you like make a big bottle of it. Just keep record of your trials because I didn't keep a comprehensive list and one of my mixes I liked I couldn't remember what was in it I also know now that using 72mg in a 10 ml bottle I will always need 2.5ml of it to make 18 mg finished strength. The mix calc on here is pretty idiot proof which is good for me I found this flavour percentage guide. It'll give you an idea of where to start with a certain brand as some only need 1 - 5% FlavourArt - 1% to 10% Their Tobacco concentrates are extremely strong. Decadent Vapours - 1% to 15% Mom & Pops - 10% to 20% Perfumers Apprentice - 1% to 10% Capella - 5% to 20% One to One - 5% to 15% Inawera - 1% to 5% Tasty Puff - 1% to 5% LorAnns - 1% - 5% FlavorWest - 10% to 20% Good luck

I thought I'd resurrect CaptainChaos 's thread to see how we are all doing. I've just had a mammoth (for me) mixing session, Red Astaire, Minty the Toff, Custardly Lovechild, Vanilla Mint & Super-Shiny 's Fluid. 30ml of each for me and 10ml of each for my son Its getting easier

I'm just finding it difficult to find the time to do any mixing at the moment and have loads of concentrates, nic base, PG & VG all BEGGING to be abused, but they'll all have to sit & wait

You sound like me - it's got to be the right time/space/lack of interruptions to do it properly & now that the school holidays are in full effect - I am trying to find a cupboard to lock them in lol

I found my night shifts (when I can just get on with it) the best time - loads of space on the 'console', 6 computer screens in front of me with all the recipes etc., perfect air-conditioning & lots of chemicals to play with lol

I cleared about 12"x8" on my desk, had to short/shift the mouse to read the recipes and kept all my concentrates etc on the floor

As long as the mixing session was successful, that's the main thing
