Spotted this on the news, it beggars belief what some beeping barstewards will do, I know what I'd be doing to the culprit. >

Having been a visitor to several local rescue centres recently, I continue to be appalled at the level of cruelty and violence shown to animals. One doggy I saw, had been slashed with a knife for fun . . . another had had, scalding hot water poured over him for fun, both these animals were a pitiful sight to see . . . yet still came up to the bars of their runs to say hello. Then there's the long term cruelty cases that I wouldn't even go into as they're too upsetting. It sickens me beyond belief. >

It sickens me as well, really stomach churning to think what the poor animal goes through, just cant understand what pleasure these people get. Watching Animal Cops on Sky, you see a number of things like this and apparently these animal abusers often go on to do a lot of human abuse. Sad world we live in!

We rescued Milo over 2 years ago & he has been really hard work, because he had been beaten so badly he never trusted anyone. We have now turned him into a happy dog who just adores people, he now understands that people want to be kind to him & love him . We give him tons of attention as there is only the 2 of us at home & i am home all day & i would say that is what he needed. He follows me around like a shadow & i adore the very bones of him he is my hairy bairn But rescuing is not an easy task you are taking on a dog with fears & issues, you need to have the time to spend with them & work on their problems

I know exactly what you mean Sue, my Sammy was a rescue and boy was he hard work, the first year I wondered what the heck I'd taken on . . . having said goodbye to two very elderly doggy's, it came as a real shock.
Although he was never aggressive fortunately, he just needed love, time and some firm discipline . . . so worth it, as he became the best and most loving companion I could have ever wished for.

handed himself in apperently Realy ? wonder if he did it to get the rewards offered by the rspca and peta ... Maybe he couldn't handle the backlash, after what the local community did with the woman who put the cat in the wheelie bin, I can only imagine the variety of threats this guy recived.
