now I have a couple of kayfuns I am bound to follow suit as you say with a kayfun its all about getting it set up right then there is no turning back and I will get there if I don't I will track you down at vapefest and we will have it running right I like it now but I know there is room for improvement Sounds like a plan, except you are confusing me with someone who knows what they are doing. Its good to have more than one so when you try a new build you can a-b it with the last one as its all fuzzy qualitative stuff and not at all blokie quantitative differences.

No thanks, what's up with you and Vivi Novas did you pop your cheery with one and now have a permanent soft spot in your heart? I thought they were great and bought 4 in early 2013 (before kayfun clones, good vape, big tank & no leaks), mine just sat in a box for months until some nutter took them off my hands. Try 3 mm ribbon in the ViviNovas, if you don't have any I'll bring some to VF. I have used the twine 3 times and it was good at first but clogged a bit to quickly I think it is my juice and that it doesn't fluff up enough (even after boiling). I have also tried CelloCotton and it's similar in that respect. My latest fav with all these wicks is 2 bits of rico (one inside the other to make it large with smoothish surface) inside an 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) 1.3 ? micro coil in kayfun clone. I had to get the dremel out on the FT Tebeco clones today and enlarge the channels again as the Focal ones just wick so much better for me. I started vaping with a old ce4 that was way past its best was cracked had nail varnish on to stop it leaking then I was given a vivi nova and my vaping took off from there so vivis got me off the fags and I will always have a soft spot for them That's like me with my evods. After months of hassle they worked, I may now use other things but Iwill never turn my back on my trusty evod which I use daily still out and about.

E-lites got me off the stinkies, had warm feelings for them for ages after moving on so understand (Vivi & Evods a different ball game), until I started mixing and realised that they charges £4 per ml refill, now it cost me about 4p. No regrets & no E-Lites.

I am currently using a Magma clone dripper with pre-made NR R NR coils from FT with cotton wool wick. It`s working okay, but the yarn looks a lot tidier and easy to use

Mrsmac I'm exchanging some organic cotton for some rayon with rich100 so will have a full set then. I'm enjoying both rico and organic but slightly favour the organic for it's versatility, it's easier to adapt to various coil sizes and atties. Also like the fact it's organic, unbleached and undyed, not sure about the rico, it's certainly much whiter and brighter.

@scooby, so far i am having the same findings, i also prefer the organic yarn especially after I boiled it. I think it may be a keeper. I got a small sample of the rayon (1m) off ebay and i may like this over the rest, it lasts longer than the cotton wool and the coil is cleaner longer but i know it opens up a whole nother debate. Just a tip, when you use the rayon, use slightly more than you would with cotton as it shrinks as opposed to fluffing up. Have a look on youtube

I just got some of the rico. 1 ball of 'chunky' and 1 of woven flat tube. using the first type in my protank and it fits the 2mm coil great and wicks nicely. I got the tube type to use in my Euphoria (penelpoe clone) when it arrives. ill be trying it in my other tanks as they run out of juice.

Just received the wick material from Mrsmac, once again, thank you very much, I really appreciate it. I thought I would go with the organic yarn first. It is a perfect fit for FT premade NR/R/NR coils that I am using, not much of a strain on the coils when inserting it. I am using 1.5 ohm coils in parallel for a 0.8 ish ohm setup and it`s working superbly. Certainly as good as cotton wool at the moment with less hassle. So easy to use Using it in my MAGMA clone from FT.

No great revelation and it's early days and I have noticed a few differences. It has a slightly cleaner, brighter taste from the start and seems not to need a 'run in' like cotton. I also noticed it stays looking cleaner. No dry hits except for one, a sudden bad taste, on looking at the coil the wick was non existent!!! Not good. Side by side with the organic cotton, the cotton after it had bedded in, whilst not as clean tasting was somehow rounder, fuller and more satisfying. Bit like the difference between vinyl and digital, or film and digital. Don't think it deserves 300 pages though.
