Hi Justjj, welcome to aaec, you picked the best place I was a 70g per week of Amber Leaf smoker, and found my consumption dropped down to 10g per week for the first week and less and less afterwards. Smoked my last rollup a week last Saturday. You can read the whole sorry saga here. I got a Riva which has been fine for me, no desire to upgrade just yet. Don't worry if you keep wanting a fag, I did (and still do sometimes), it takes a while to find your sweet spot with vaping, so persevere. I've tried a few of tobacco flavours and have yet to find one I really like - they seem to be formulated to mimic straight ciggies, rather than rollups. ATM I'm finding Cuban Sureme to be OK, though my main smoke is RY4. A couple of fruit flavours have impressed me (mango and grape), others have not. Best thing to do is to try the pick'n'mix offers so you get to try lots of different juices, but it's no great loss if there's one or two you don't like and you don't get stuck with loads of unwanted juice. HTH Dom

Dom, where are you getting your RY4 from? Hello and welcome JJ. No question is a silly one, so ask away! chill - if it helps, I have tried RY4 from both Vape Escape and Freedom Vapes, and I've found that they both taste different to me. While I like the underlying flavour (of the mild caramel), I find that my throat becomes sore. I might just drop the mg dosage and take it from there. Hope this helps?

Hi there JJ and I feel we need to take stock a minute. Thoughts: 38mg is VERY HIGH I chain-smoked unfiltered rollies, had smoked for 50+ years, and got off cigs with 16-18mg strength and a weak e-cig model - that's all there was 3 years ago. You could dilute the 38mg with VG (vegetable glycerine from chemists and supermarket bakery shelves) but that will also dilute the flavour. I would suggest 24mg max approx to start with. Keep an open mind and go for a cigar-sized e-cig (which the Riva is) because you'll get better drags off it and won't have to charge it so often. Lots of members have a Riva or similar so you'll have plenty of peeps to help you with any queries or problems. So where's the best Riva deal folks? This one which Chrissie posted earlier: www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-riva-1100-deluxe-kit-%5Bideal-for-beginners%5D~151Don't worry too much about flavours to start with. You will not replicate the exact taste of any tobacco (open mind again ). Why not keep it very simple and buy a couple of 5ml bottles of whatever you fancy from the same supplier, just to start off with? www.vapeescape.co.uk/search.asp?types=E%2DLiquids+%3E+10ml+BottlesAs Chrissie says, our James of Paradise Vapes does some nice baccy flavours and you can buy 5ml bottles for £3 each, I suggest Benson Fences, LnB, and Drum to get you started. Also order some "blue foam" from him. What you need to do is get the basic gear and then come back here wailing and a-gnashing teeth for guidance and further developments. You need the gear in your hands to know what's what I'll find some links EDITED to add VapeEscape Riva and juice links above. Where are ya Jemmy to help with the juice and foam from James?

Dom, where are you getting your RY4 from? FreedomVape - I haven't tried anyone else's yet, and I got a 30ml bottle, so it will be a while before I try any others.

Scylla, some links have already been posted I know that > I want to post ONE link to a Riva and ONE link to juice. But I need Jemima to help with James's site cos I cannot hack it. But I've got an "emergency" here and have to fly, so if someone else could help... just to get it laid out cut 'n dried

Wherever you get it, don't forget to use the discount codes listed in the vendors thread.

That's good, JJ - I've since edited my post to add that link and to say "why not order a couple of 5ml bottles of juice from the same supplier, to keep it simple to start with?". If you find yourself short of a component or wotnot, someone may be able to help you out
